VP Marketing, Strategic Accounts
Job Description
Role Summary/Purpose:
The VP, Marketing, Strategic Accounts will be responsible for developing and flawlessly executing marketing launch plans for a new, strategic client. The marketing leader will collaborate with Relationship Manager and client marketing leaders to launch and manage credit card programs across in-store and digital channels to drive program growth. In addition, this role will work directly with the Home Specialty and client leadership teams on strategic initiatives as well as core operating rhythm.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally to flawlessly launch a new retail program
- Partner with client marketing leadership team to lead, develop, implement, and monitor dynamic annual growth plans
- Understand and incorporate each client's key business objectives, strategic vision, and marketing calendar into the planning process to achieve set objectives
- Establish and develop key relationships at senior levels of partner organizations
- Gain approval for marketing programs through cross-functional matrixed client organizational structure
- Optimize contractual marketing spend and pursue additional funds to meet growth goals
- Partner with Analytics efforts to measure all strategic marketing efforts
- Develop and manage Purchase Order/Invoice requests
- Assess and recommend opportunities to optimize in-store and digital credit marketing channels
- Monitor the competitive space and be aware of market changes, developments and trends
- Share best practices and successes internally and externally
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
- Must be able to work Eastern Time Zone business hours
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 9 years of marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries
- Minimum of 5 years marketing experience, preferably in credit card or financial services headquarters
- Minimum of 2 yr experience with omni-channel marketing
- Ability to travel as needed ~ 20%

- Proven ability to partner and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Strong bent toward marketing investment measurement and optimization
- Experience managing agency relationships
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Experience with digital & direct channels - mail, online and mobile
- Strategic thinking with ability to support the implementation of actionable plans to drive business results
- Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to evaluate situations using multiple sources of information.
- Collaborative style and approach with comfort working in a matrixed, decentralized structure.
- Experience working with WorkFront and other Synchrony systems
- Strong PC proficiency (MS Office Suite) or comparable software applications
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a "consistently meets expectations" performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance requirement).

Grade/Level: 12
The salary range for this position is 85,000.00 - 170,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
