Job Description

As the VP, Media Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the quality assurance, operational efficiency, and strategic management of the Media Operations team. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the successful delivery of client deliverables, managing team performance, optimizing tools and resources, and fostering collaboration across various departments.This role requires a keen understanding of media operations, a proactive approach to process improvement, and the ability to navigate negotiations for media technology and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance and Client Deliverables:

    • Conduct thorough quality assurance on all team deliverables to ensure adherence to client requirements and industry standards.

    • Provide ongoing feedback to the team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.

  • Performance Management:

    • Manage and conduct performance evaluations for direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

    • Collaborate with the Engagement team to optimize tools and resources, focusing on cost savings and staying informed about market trends.

  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Foster tight collaboration with Brand Ops and Project Management teams to create and manage allocation documents and utilization reports.

    • Actively support media and data teams, collaborating closely with Project Management to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Process Optimization:

    • Keep a pulse on team processes, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions for continuous enhancement.

    • Serve as an expert in documenting processes, ensuring clarity and efficiency in team workflows.

  • Media Tech and Tools Management:

    • Lead the implementation of media technology and tools, including negotiations, contracts, and exploration of new partners.

    • Work closely with finance to manage budgets related to media technology, tools, and partnerships.

  • New Employee Onboarding:

    • Oversee the onboarding process for all new team members, ensuring a smooth transition for the first 30 days.

    • Collaborate with HR and relevant stakeholders to facilitate a comprehensive onboarding experience.

  • Bridge Between Buying and Finance:

    • Act as a strategic bridge between the buying and finance teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.

    • Provide insights and support to finance in managing financial aspects related to media operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in media operations, with a focus on quality assurance and process optimization.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to conduct performance evaluations and drive team development.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Familiarity with media technology and tools, staying abreast of industry trends.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proficient in process documentation and improvement.
