VP, Multisource Financing Lender Relationships
Job Description
Role Summary/Purpose:
Reporting to the SVP - MSF & 3rd Parties, this role will set the strategy and drive the execution for strategic secondary and tertiary lending relationships across SYF Point of Sale Solutions. This individual will lead a cross functional team focused on building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective lenders to accelerate Synchrony's multi-source financing capabilities.
This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage, develop, and drive Synchrony's Multisource Financing capabilities across all business units.
- Lead the vision and roadmap for Synchrony's hosted MSF offering to deliver innovative new capabilities that meet partner needs.
- Identify and evaluate potential secondary/tertiary lending partnerships within key SYF markets to integrate with SYF point of sale systems.
- Be r esponsible for understanding industry insights, consumer intel and market analysis, and benchmarking Synchrony's products against competition - coordinating and communicating findings across clients and platforms. Will require collaboration with customers, research and insights, team members, and outside influencers to ensure a solid and well-rounded understanding of products and developing needs.
- Own product/capability enhancements from ideation to execution, including capability specifications and requirements, wing-to-wing experience, testing and cost/benefit analysis. Lead cross-functional teams, in a matrixed environment, through project plans that include major milestones, critical risk indicators, measures of success and contingencies.
- Manage 3 rd party lender relationships inclusive of feature/capability development and contract extentions /renewals.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify gaps, product needs and growth opportunities, while partnering with key stakeholders to help prioritize efforts against other initiatives.
- Coordinate with SYF POS Product Owners to develop and execute cross platform campaigns to drive program growth .
- Lead cross functional efforts to create and maintain parity in features, functionality and access to MSF lenders across all SYF hosted POS channels.
- Partner with the various technology teams to drive scalable (shared component architecture) solutions by/between 3rd party lenders and SYF hosted solutions via the MSF Lender Gateway.
- Be r esponsible for the overall multisource financing performance, including achievement of financial targets and key performance indicators, while setting the objectives and key results (OKRs) for the program.
- Develop business cases and champion strategies to support product innovation.
- Coordinate efforts with other product managers and GTM team to commercialize across Synchrony's platforms and portfolios. Drive product implementation, ensuring innovative solutions supporting business strategy.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned .
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree. In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 9 years of professional work experience in the financial services field
- Minimum of 5 years' project management experience leading cross functional projects
- Minimum of 3 years strategic business relationship management experience inclusive of contract renewals
- Minimum of 3 years product management experience working within Agile framework
- Minimum of 2 years' experience leading the development of business requirements
- M inimum of 2 years' experience leading user acceptance testing across multiple functions
- Ability to travel (~20 % )
Desired Characteristics:
- Master's degree (Business or applicable related field)
- Master Black Belt, Black Belt or Lean Six Sigma certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills: business writing, developing pitches, delivering presentations, and leading meetings.
- Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.
- Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to evaluate situations using multiple sources of information.
- Proven ability to work remotely and independently
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).

The salary range for this position is 100,000.00 - 200,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
