CookUnity is the first chef-to-you marketplace connecting the country's most talented chefs with eaters (consumers). We're changing meal delivery by bringing small-batch, restaurant-quality meals to eaters across the country. Every week, a diverse collective of all-star chefs craft their signature, ready-to-eat dishes for an elevated at-home dining experience.
CookUnity is home to more than 100 of NYC, LA, Austin, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle and Miamiβs most inspired and innovative chefs. Through a weekly subscription, eaters can select from a diverse, ever-changing menu of hundreds of hand-crafted meals. Our chefs create dishes that cater to a wide variety of palates and dietary preferences, so the best part of dining out can be enjoyed by everyone.
Delivering more than 1M meals per month and growing 3x YoY, CookUnity is also helping improve the livelihood of working chefs, tripling their income, enabling the growth of their own teams and personal brands. And believing that healthy food fuels stronger communities, CookUnity partners with Food Bank For New York City, the city's major hunger-relief organization, working to end food insecurity across all five boroughs.
As VP of Branding, you will be the person leading our brand positioning and development, to become one of the dominant brands in food for decades to come. We are looking for someone who believes in our vision of a marketplace that unites chefs and consumers.
You will be responsible for creating and telling the story of CookUnity. You must deeply understand that one of the most amazing human experiences is eating and sharing delicious food, and you must be able to translate that experience through a dynamic branding strategy.
You will work side by side with the company's founders and executive team. You are going to build and develop a team and also work hands-on with Product, Growth Marketing, Design, and Portfolio.
We are looking for a talented brand marketer who can leverage original content and creative execution to build awareness and trust that ultimately boost sales for CookUnity's unique service.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the brand positioning, brand voice and brand value proposition.
- Lead our primary company initiative of building organic awareness through a media and communications strategy (PR, social media), content creation of unique assets around our food and chefs, advertising, and collaboration with Performance Marketing on digital marketing strategies.
- Creating a strong narrative around vitality and word of mouth, from our own experience, associating CookUnity with synergetic brands.
- Contribute to the expansion of the Chef Community and help them build brands that engage directly with consumers.
- Craft the set of experiences that enhance and surround the food along the user journey by blending online and offline strategies to create a holistic experience of the brand.
- Work closely with Growth Marketing, Design, Product & Portfolio to evolve our product offering for our subscribers. Lead and participate in customer discovery efforts to deepen our understanding of the job to be done.
- Measure and drive demonstrable business results and ROI through brand building and marketing.
- 10+ years of marketing experience with premium and/or technology brands
- Proven ability to lead an innovative and disruptive brand's end-to-end marketing needs, including strategy, creative, production, analytics
- Business savvy, with a proven ability to create and execute full funnel marketing strategies
- Success working with technical product teams and digital marketing technologies spread around the world

Compensation
- All final pay rates will be determined by candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
- Pay Range for this position: $200,000 - $300,000 per year.
