VP of Commercial Operations (Dublin)

Executive Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced VP of commercial operations to drive progress on the company’s growth mission in the emerging field of quantum computing. The ideal candidate will bring significant expertise to a fast-growing team, having a deep knowledge of running commercial operations (business development, negotiation, sales) with a focus on the advanced computing industry. 
Good communication skills, motivation and the ability to work within a diverse team dispersed across multiple time-zones are a must. You will work closely with the leadership, product, science, engineering and marketing teams to influence potential customers and partners, and help drive progress towards the company’s vision of being the leading software developer tool for quantum programming. 

Responsibilities

• Day to day oversight of commercial operations
• Build and execute a business development strategy
• Asses the company's position on the commercial market and design strategic goals 
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities including with government agencies
• Define and execute OEM partnership strategy
• Negotiate purchasing decisions
• Identify, research and manage potential clients and partnerships
• Design commercial strategies for the company's sales practices
• Create and negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders
• Conduct market research to inform strategy and stay ahead on potential opportunities
• Contribute in both leadership and individual contributor capacities, when required, and enable growth of the commercial team
• Keep up to date with the latest relevant technical advances

Essential Requirements

• MBA, or equivalent work experience
• At least 10 years in a similar role spanning business development, commercial operations and partnerships. 
• Experience in OEM partnerships
• Excellent negotiation and sales skills
• Strong analytical and decision making skills
• Knowledge of quantum industry, and its ecosystem
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Strong track record of driving partnerships with customers and government agencies
• Ability to quickly learn and ramp up on new technologies
• Passion for learning and driven to succeed
• Ready for a challenge
