The VP of Corporate Development will report to the CFO and will act as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team. This person will support the growth of the company through acquisitions and strategic partnerships. They will understand market dynamics and drive strategic decision making while ensuring alignment with overall corporate strategy.
*This is a hybrid role based in our Atlanta HQ office.
What you’ll do:
- Evaluate potential merger or acquisition targets, manage due diligence process, negotiate deals, and execute transactions. Help identify opportunities for growth and expansion through strategic partnerships or by acquiring complementary businesses.
- Manage partnerships and alliances with other companies or organizations (ranging from JVs to licensing agreements, strategic alliances, or other partnerships) with the goal of leveraging synergies, accessing new markets or enhancing the company’s capabilities.
- Maintain industry relationships including investment bankers, partners, operators and other key industry players to stay ahead of market intel.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the company's overall strategic plan. Assess market trends, competitive landscape, and industry dynamics to identify potential areas for growth and help define the company's long-term objectives.
- Provide regular (at least quarterly) updates to leadership to keep them informed of industry developments, as well as immediately of one-off impactful headlines
What you have:
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to exercise mature judgment and present and execute solutions
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Team player that can also work independently
- Executive presence including excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to be in a high growth situation that can be less structured at times
- 10+ years of related experience with time in top tier private equity or investment bank
- Experience leading, managing and/or developing high performing teams
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting or related field
What makes you stand out:
- DFS and/or sports industry related experience
- CFA, MBA, CPA or other relevant financial licenses or accreditations
Where you’ll live:
- Anywhere in the US, Atlanta preferred, travel up to 25% of the time.
