VP of Engineering

The VP of Engineering is responsible for leading, growing and inspiring an expanding global and remote engineering team. In this role, you will be tasked with bringing Aspire's strategic vision and innovative approach to shape how our technology will scale to support hyper-growth while building out operational excellence and instilling a product engineering and dev ops culture. The role will report directly to our CTO, collaborate cross-functionally with senior leaders across the company, and play a major role in guiding the direction of our product roadmaps and strategy. The right candidate has a results-oriented mindset and thrives in a bold, fast-moving, transparent, values-driven leadership team and company while nurturing an expanding team of highly engaged engineers. 

• Aligning closely with product, design, customer success, and support leadership to ensure that engineering is working to drive results across the business
• Define the overall strategy and objectives for the Engineering team, focused on creating a best-in-class product, architecture, and development team
• Ingraining Aspire company values and leadership principles into the day-to-day work environment for the engineering team
• Promote a product-centric mindset company-wide and act as a champion for technical best practices
• Develop and codify roadmaps and technical strategies that are routed in established performance metrics 
• Collaborate with teams such as Product, Design and Leadership to deploy strategies that provide technical advances, reduce tech debt and make significant improvements to our platform

• 10+ years of Software Engineering experience 
• 6+ years of management experience
• Proven leadership ability in complex strategic projects with multiple stakeholders
• Proven ability to meet and exceed service standards and KPIs
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives independently and successfully
• Ability to tackle issues with a sense of urgency while maintaining professionalism and accuracy
• Demonstrated success managing a fast-paced team, including the recruitment, onboarding, and development of high performers

• Management experience at a SaaS company
• Passion for the creator economy or marketing tech
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
