VP of Finance

Mission:
As Spartan's VP of Finance, you will be in Golden, CO and will lead the Finance and Accounting operations of our company and its operating units reporting directly to the CEO. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of an intricate and fast-paced accounting infrastructure. It will be important for this person to be a self-learner, builder of processes, and nurturer of people. This person will be very comfortable with the budgeting and accounting processes that support the investment industry.

1. Create Corporate and Investor Level Financial Reporting
2. 100% accuracy on company financial reporting
3. Optimize Monthly Recurring Revenue to Operating Expense Ratio - Increase by 400%
Main Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee all accounting and finance functions in company divisions including property, construction, and corporate accounting. Further functions include accounts payable and receivables, controls and treasury.
- Lead FP&A Manager in production of financial planning & analysis, budgeting & forecasting.
- Coordinate the development of cash and revenue to educate investment plans for all of Spartan's businesses.
- Tax, and audit across 70 and growing operating entities spanning various industries.
- Work with outside CPA team to optimize tax outcomes for all stakeholders and manage special depreciation and allocation schedules.
- Ensure data integrity across all accounting and finance systems to include: Netsuite, Concur, InvestNext, Investor Management System(IMS), Quickbooks Online, and Power BI.
- Liaise with Capital and Acquisitions teams to ensure investor-level reporting is immaculately delivered and continuously improved
- Identify financial health metrics and present performance to all stakeholders along with future predictions of success.

Cashflow Management - Support company growth by tracking the ins and outs of company funds to prevent financial loss and develop a successful long-term strategy for efficient cashflow management.
Forecasting - Prepare reliable budgets with modern tools and techniques. Work with FP&A to provide accurate financial modeling and forecasting to help track projected and actual finance metrics to improve organizational performance.
Innovation - Create new and better ways for SIG to be successful. Adapting to change and engaging in continuous learning and critical thinking to promote growth.
Collaboration - Coordinate between departments and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
Organization - Ability to efficiently manage the priority projects for a variety of stakeholders and teams; providing the proper direction and resources to the team to effectively execute.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year university in Finance, Accounting or Similar
- CPA or Master's Degree Preferred
- 10+ years of real estate related accounting and finance
- NetSuite and Integrations familiarity
