Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance and Accounting functions of the organization.
• Work with the CFO on the strategic vision of the organization.
• In conjunction with legal counsel, assess and oversee all prospective business contracts, leases, and insurance plans.
• In conjunction with legal counsel, ensure that standardized compliance, audit and record keeping procedures are in place at enforced at all times so that organization may efficiently pass all independent or government audits.
• Oversee the coordination and activities of all independent auditors ensuring all audit issues are resolved and all compliance standards are met.
• Oversee and implement, when necessary all human resource policies and procedures including but not limited to; communicating and enforcing organizational values, coaching and counseling, reviewing disciplinary action, planning and reviewing compensation strategies.
• Maintain and further develop a system of internal controls that safeguards financial assets of the organization.
• Monitor all banking activities of the organization.
• Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs.
• Oversee the production of monthly reports, data requests and reconciliations to ensure organization is compliant with lender all requirements.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and ensure a disaster recovery plan is in place.
• Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
