VP of Finance

The Role:  

The Role: The Vice President of Finance at Meati will be an important strategic addition to our growing team, based in Boulder, CO. Reporting to the CFO, the VP of Finance is an experienced financial leader, critical thinker, pragmatic problem solver, who works cross functionally to provide insightful decision support. This role will lead FP&A, capital planning, actively involved in fundraising initiatives, corporate finance, and business operations. Key responsibilities include annual operating plan, monthly business reviews, board presentations and fund-raising initiatives. This role will lead and/or work closely with the analytics, accounting, commercial team, procurement, people and talent, operations & R&D teams.  
 
Responsibilities: 

• Deliver excellent financial management across the business, while developing innovative tools that can be leveraged across Meati to manage inputs and drive outcomes. 

• Ensure alignment of investments to the Company's mission that inform the impact of opportunities, constraints, and policies to partner and influence the business strategy and outcomes. 
• Lead and evolve the Company's financial strategy and capital planning and annual planning processes 
• Prepare insightful materials for board of directors and investor meetings 
• Prepare accurate and thorough analysis to assess capital structure plan 
• Partner with senior leaders to ensure the Company's achievement of volume, revenue and productivity targets 

• Track, analyze, and report financials related to key performance indicators 
• Represent the organization externally, as necessary, particularly in banking, funding raises and contract negotiations 
• Support business development, bidding, and contract negotiation transactions in existing and new markets 
• Build, lead, and develop effective finance teams and ensure a pipeline of talent as we expand capacity and or locations. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, MBA preferred. 
• 15+ years of experience in finance with expertise in corporate FP&A, fundraising, treasury management and debt raising 
• Experience in a CPG manufacturing environment 
• Functional knowledge of financial reporting and accounting, strong excel modeling skills and experience with NetSuite a plus 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment (startup experience preferred, corporate background must-have) 

• Proven ability to take midsize companies through scale and public company diligence and reporting levels 
• Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization 
• Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills 
• Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers 
• Hands on operator with the ability to think strategically. 

• Adept in fiscal management principles and processes, including resource management and needs assessment 
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with strong attention to details.

Compensation:  
The base salary range for this role is $210K-$250K annually, which is just one aspect of our total compensation package. In addition to the salary, this position is eligible for a potential annual bonus and equity! Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
