VP of Finance

The Role:

The Vice President of Finance at Meati will be an important strategic addition to our growing team, based in Boulder, CO. Reporting to the CFO, the VP is a strong leader, critical thinker, problem solver, and key collaborator whose mission is to support groups across Meati through leading all corporate and strategic finance projects, including annual budgets, monthly P&L analysis, and board presentations. This role will lead and/or work closely with the analytics, accounting, supply, procurement people and talent, and operations teams
Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent financial management across the business, while developing innovative tools that can be leveraged across Meati to manage inputs and drive outcomes
• Ensure alignment of investments to company's mission that inform the impact of opportunities, constraints, and policies to partner and influence the business strategy and outcomes
• Lead and evolve the Company's financial strategy and capital planning and annual planning processes
• Prepare materials for board of directors and Investor meetings
• Serve as a financial advisor to the CEO and executive team for strategic planning and capital structure purposes
• Manage the company's compliance with local and federal regulatory matters
• Partner with senior leaders to ensure the Company's achievement of revenue targets
• Track, analyze, and report financials related to strategic goals and objectives,
• Represent the organization externally, as necessary, particularly in banking, funding raises and lease negotiations
• Support business development, bidding, and contract negotiation transactions in existing and new markets
• Build, lead, and develop effective finance teams and ensure a pipeline of talent is developed at all levels of the organization

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration; Master’s degree preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in finance with expertise in both FP&A and non-finance business analytics
• Experience in a CPG manufacturing environment
• Functional knowledge of financial reporting and accounting, QuickBooks experience and NetSuite a plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment (startup experience preferred, corporate background must-have)
• Proven ability to take midsize companies through scale and public company diligence and reporting levels
• Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization
• Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
• Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker
• Proven work experience as a VP of Finance
• In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit and tax compliance and other regulatory matters
• Adept in fiscal management principles and processes, including resource management and needs assessment
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with strong attention to details.

Compensation:

Range is $190,000 - $235,000, including a potential annual bonus and equity. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
