VP of Finance

The VP of Finance is responsible for the entire FP&A function, process, and team including budgeting, projections, and resource allocations. This person will also play a critical role on the senior leadership team, be heavily involved in board management and investor relations, and support the company’s fundraising efforts. This role will lead a small team to support internal and external efforts.

• Provide insightful and trusted counsel to the CEO, management team and the Board on both financial and broad-based business issues. Analyze business risks and opportunities and make recommendations as they affect the financial results of the business. Prepare ad hoc analysis needed for the CEO, Board and Investors.
• Provide hands-on, metrics-driven financial leadership to help accelerate growth and profitability and provide the executive team with “operational insight” to better manage the business.
• Partner with co-founders on fundraising and potential M&A/IPO activities. Build a solid financial foundation and operational capabilities to support significant revenue growth as well as a potential IPO.
• Refine the financial planning process and partner across the business to ensure delivery against the business plan. Ensure best in class operating practices around compliance and revenue recognition.
• Manage and provide inspiring leadership to Finance and Accounting teams, nurturing and developing a team of talented individuals, allowing them to reach peak performance and meet their career growth aspirations.

• Direct experience with VC-backed companies required.
• 5+ years of direct and relevant senior level leadership experience required.
• Experience with fundraising and investor relations required.
• A strong strategic, finance skill set evidenced by the ability to analyze business models, forecast financing needs, raise capital at attractive rates and invest capital strategically in a high-growth environment required.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills required.
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities required.
• Direct SaaS background highly preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred.
• Experience working directly with founders preferred.
• Master’s Degree preferred.

Salary range for this role is $180,000 - $200,000.
