ABOUT THE ROLE

Correlation One is seeking a Vice President (VP) of Marketing to develop and execute a strategic marketing vision and roadmap that drives growth and helps the company meet its business objectives. As a member of our leadership team, this person will leverage their proven track record of B2B demand generation and product marketing success to support our sales efforts and increase customer acquisition. The VP of Marketing will also help to establish our brand identity and category leadership, by defining clear market positioning and creating compelling content that communicates our value proposition and differentiates Correlation One in the marketplace. The VP will oversee a small team of marketing professionals that will grow over time and should be comfortable being a hands-on resource in our lean startup environment. Consistent with our culture, this leader should be passionate about their craft, transparent in their communications and bold when it comes to facing challenges and taking risks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, manage and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy and tactical plans to meet and exceed the company’s revenue goals
  • Lead B2B demand generation in close partnership with Sales to drive a predictable, scalable pipeline and revenue growth 
  • Establish go-to-market plans and materials for specific products and solutions that engage our target audiences and accelerate opportunities in current and future markets
  • Support B2G sales enablement as needed
  • Determine, analyze and share KPIs related to marketing impact and performance, including reporting against forecasted results on a regular basis
  • Create brand assets and content that tell Correlation One’s story and position the company as a trusted leader in the workforce development space
  • Effectively convey Correlation One’s differentiation in the market based on a thorough understanding of our customers, competitors and our category
  • Direct, mentor and continue to expand the team responsible for demand generation, product marketing, content creation, sales support and all brand assets and communications
  • Work closely with Sales, Product, Technology and Account Management leadership teams to ensure that marketing priorities are aligned with broader enterprise value drivers
  • Contribute as an active member of the leadership team generating and developing ideas, providing constructive feedback, and partnering to determine company-wide priorities and maintain company culture

RELEVANT EXPERIENCES

  • 10+ years as a leader in B2B marketing with proven, quantifiable results 
  • Prior experience selling data-related solutions or workplace transformation products preferred 
  • 7+ years in management roles, with a pattern of building, developing and retaining high-performance teams
  • Deep experience planning and managing demand generation programs that leverage cross-channel tactics and produce high-quality sales opportunities resulting in exponential revenue growth
  • Understanding of the sales cycle and complexity of selling into larger enterprises
  • Demonstrated expertise in product marketing including developing positioning, messaging and packaging for B2B products and directing successful product rollouts to customers and prospects 
  • Analytical leader who develops and tracks against forecasts and who leverages performance metrics, market analysis and customer insights for key decisions
  • Previous success in building a brand to establish credibility and awareness 
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Past experience in a B2B startup a plus
  • In addition, you:

The compensation range for this position is specific to location and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. These factors include (but are not limited to) location, experience, education and skill sets. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $200,000 - 250,000. Please note that the shared range is specific to the United States. The range only reflects the base salary and does not reflect bonus, equity or benefits.
