Job Summary

The VP of Marketing is responsible for spearheading marketing programs and projects, ensuring efficiency and smooth workflow. Their responsibilities include managing marketing teams, conducting market research and analysis, reviewing marketing plans and strategies, coordinating different departments, and participating in creating marketing materials. This lady or gentleman will be responsible for monitoring the progress of operations and producing progress reports for the Chief Executive Officer.

Essential Functions

  • Take responsibility for annual marketing plan, strategy, and team
  • Identify and plan differentiated and impactful marketing strategies/materials
  • Build, manage and coach a high-performing marketing team
  • Drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and drive leads
  • Direct and support market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data for short- and long-term market forecasts and reports
  • Work closely with the sales department to align sales and marketing strategies
  • Manage marketing budget and expenditures
  • Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing and communications channels
  • Identify competitors and evaluate their strategies and positioning and devise counterstrategies
  • Build long term relationships with employees, clients, government officials and stakeholders

Competency

Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of Marketing experience
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Skills:

  • Excellent PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office software
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent organization and follow through skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain good rapport with internal and external customers and handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness
  • Flexible, adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment

Work Environment

Works in a typical office environment with quiet-to-moderate noise generated by computer printer, fax machine and light traffic. Traveling may be required.

Physical Demands

Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching. May require lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, the telephone, and other office equipment.

Expected Hours of Work

The position is fulltime and frequently requires working additional time outside of normal business hours.
