Job Description

About Raycon
Raycon is one of the fastest-growing D2C brands, dedicated to shaking up the consumer electronics industry. At Raycon, we’re inspired by the go-getters, the early risers, the performers and one-more-milers of the world. That’s why we’re dedicated to creating high-quality wireless audio products that fit the wants and needs of all kinds of doers out there, without the mark-up or false hype.
We have experienced rapid growth over the past year and are looking for fellow self-starters and go-getters to join our team.
About the Role
Raycon is looking for an experienced VP of Operations to lead the process of building a world class operations infrastructure to power our growth, both domestically and internationally. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring they are humming along. The ideal candidate has experience scaling a fast-paced e-commerce company and requires proficiency in operational excellence, process optimization, analytics, and customer service. You will be responsible for enhancing our international eCommerce infrastructure, optimizing current unit economics and making cost improvements, ensuring our operational process delivers amazing customer experience, and streamlining operational infrastructure to enable sales and marketing opportunities.
You will report directly to our CEO. This is a full-time hybrid position based out of our NYC office.
What You Can Do

  • Work with our existing partners and find new partners to drive operational unit economics
  • Source, prepare, and successfully launch two new 3PLs in international regions with streamlined inventory to order to returns processes
  • Develop and systemize cost improvements on a scheduled basis with manufacturers while building goodwill and a positive relationship
  • Reduce the impact of returns through thoughtful suggestions in existing operational and customer-touching processes to boost profitability
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

Who You Are

  • You have 10+ years of experience in a combination of strategy, business operations, retail, CPG, consulting, finance or an equivalent field. Experience with a D2C brand is a plus.
  • You should be familiar with eCommerce (Shopify and Amazon) and retail processes
  • You should be familiar with ERP systems such as SAP or Netsuite, and take a direct role in supporting the finance team with public or private audits
  • You have direct experience dealing with international eCommerce and understand the details of international subsidiaries, 3PLs, and product regulations
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Proficient with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • You are hands on. While you know how to effectively manage a team, no job is too small and you’re happy to roll up your sleeves if something needs to get done.
  • You’re like us! You’re a self-starter, a go-getter, and get-it-doner. You thrive in fast-paced environments and like getting your hands dirty.
  • You have passion. Maybe you’re an amateur pinball player, a writer, a car enthusiast, a side hustler. You know what it’s like to deeply enjoy what you do and you embrace it.
  • You have a sense of humor. You know life’s too short to take yourself too seriously
