Accountabilities:

  • Oversee contract operations, ensuring compliance, performance standards, and contractual obligations are consistently met
  • Manage and support Directors of Operations and site-level leadership across multiple geographic locations
  • Own P&L performance, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue planning, and financial oversight for assigned contracts
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and profitability
  • Partner with Business Development and Marketing teams to support proposal development and technical/operational input for new business opportunities
  • Maintain strong client relationships, proactively managing performance issues and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies, operational procedures, and employee relations practices across teams
  • Provide regular performance reporting and operational updates to executive leadership
  • Oversee onboarding and transition of new contracts until full operational leadership is assigned
  • Support national vendor management and contract compliance initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and operational workflows
  • Requirements:

    • 10+ years of experience managing large-scale, geographically dispersed operational teams
    • Strong background in fleet management, transportation operations, or heavy-duty vehicle/equipment environments (Class 1–8 preferred)
    • Experience working with government contracts, compliance frameworks, and regulated operational environments
    • Proven leadership experience in P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders from field level to executive leadership
    • Strong business development support experience, including proposal input and client-facing solution articulation
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in both strategic and operational contexts
    • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50–80%)
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive annual salary ranging from $180,000 to $220,000 plus performance-based incentives
      • Weekly pay schedule
      • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, vision, prescription, life, and disability insurance
      • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match
      • Unlimited vacation, paid holidays, and sick leave
      • Career development and training programs through an internal learning platform
      • Employee assistance and wellness support programs, including 24/7 nurse triage access
      • Safety-related reimbursements (boots, prescription safety glasses)
      • Employee referral bonuses and recognition programs
      • Discounts on entertainment, phone services, and other perks
