How you will make an impact
- Responsible for establishing new vertical industries for the Company to pursue. You will work as an IC to analyze the market, identify key partnership opportunities, and work closely with the Chief Product Officer to identify any existing product gaps in closing new business.
- Oversee the procurement and negotiation process of all contracts.
- Identify and source relationships with top national and regional insurance carriers across auto, home, term-life, pet, and renters.Â
- Remain diligent in understanding insurtech market trends to ensure the Company continues to maintain competitiveness in a growing marketplace.Â
- Responsible for overseeing billing across both growth partnerships and carrier partnerships.Â
- Ensure that Insurify provides the most comprehensive insurance comparison experience across all user demographics and across all product verticals.Â
- Lead a team of partnership managers who lead the day-to-day partnerships of all growth partnerships and carrier partnerships.
- Responsible for forecasting, KPIs, and team goals across growth partnerships and carriers. You will need to implement onboarding systems for both partnership funnels. You must be able to create repeatable systems.Â
- Work closely with the VP of Sales and Operations to ensure the Company continues to improve our overall book of business with insurance carriers.
- Develop a strong understanding of underwriting, products, and integration workflow across all verticals.
What you need to succeed
- Organization: there are many moving parts at the Company. You need to ensure you track all KPIs, external communications, and internal priorities.Â
- Passionate about insurtech, fintech, insurance. You will be successful in this role if you continue to maintain a finger on the pulse of these industries.Â
- Sense of prioritization: you will need to think critically about where to spend your time. Create models and ROI calculators to ensure you understand which partnership will lead to the most desirable outcome.Â
- Strong communication skills: you will be the face of the Company to external partners. You need to be able to communicate with C-Suites of Fortune 100 companies.Â
- Persuasive: you will often find yourself pitching against competitors, participating in an RFP, or pitching internally for development resources.
- Grit: Partnerships are not easy. More often than not, you will be rejected. You need to have the drive to continue to pursue opportunities and motivate your team to continue when the ROI warrants.
- Quantitative: you will need to understand why a specific change on the Company’s site or RC1 integration impacts top of funnel partnerships. You will need to be able identify any performance issues with both carrier partners and growth partners.Â
- Leader: you will be a leader to your team by understanding team member goals and aspirations. You’ll lead with empathy. There is no task you haven’t done or wouldn’t do yourself.Â
- Integrity: partners may ask you for competitive information, others may send you internal communications or performance data for another partner. It’s important to have integrity and do the right thing for each and every partner.Â
