Job Description

About us:

Grow Therapy is on a mission to serve as the trusted partner for therapists growing their practice, and patients accessing high-quality care. Powered by technology, we are a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Following the mass increase in depression and anxiety, the need for accessibility is more important than ever. To make our vision for mental healthcare a reality, we’re building a team of entrepreneurs and mission-driven go-getters. Since launching in February 2021, we’ve empowered over 10 thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country and insurance landscape. We’ve raised over $100mm of funding from Transformation Capital, TCV, and SignalFire.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced VP of People to drive our company’s team building, success, and mission. Reporting directly to the CEO, this person will design and lead out People Strategy across Talent, People Operations, and Human Resources surface areas. This is a perfect opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in high-velocity environments, demonstrates deep operational rigor, can tap into deep prior experience, and is passionate about driving much-needed chance to our mental health system.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor the People team across key functions (Talent, Ops, HRBP)
  • In collaboration with executive leadership, define the People organization’s roadmap to advance the company’s long-term mission & goals
  • Define performance indicators for the organization, applying a data-driven approach to assess competitiveness and health, and surface insights and recommendations
  • Develop and establish HR policies, procedures, and strategies related to recruitment, training, benefits, compensation, and performance management
  • Advance our People technical infrastructure to improve teammate experience and scalability
  • Oversee assessment and evaluation processes such as candidate interviews, performance reviews, and promotion considerations
  • Maintain a work environment that prioritizes kindness and humility while balancing productivity and wellbeing

You’ll Be a Good Fit If:

  • 8+  years of work experience in progressively responsible roles in high-performing ops organizations, including 5+ within the People department
  • Experience in high-growth environments, with a knack for navigating ambiguity with high autonomy
  • Hands-on leader, skilled at empowering teammates, but willing to jump into the weeds and get your hands dirty when the situation requires
  • Data-first orientation, who adept at thoughtfully weighing a variety of insights and reference points to inform hypotheses and action plans
  • Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
  • Background in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance, with knowledge of key technological systems (HRIS, Payroll, and Talent Management)

Benefits

  • The chance to drive impact within the mental healthcare landscape from day one
  • Comprehensive health insurance plans, including dental and vision
  • Our dedication to mental health guides our culture. Wellness benefits include (but are not limited to):
    • Flexible working hours and location (remote OR in-office, your choice!)
    • Generous PTO
    • Company-wide winter break
    • Mental health mornings (2 hours each week)
    • Team meditation
    • Wellness Stipend
    • In-office lunch and biweekly remote lunch on us!
  • Continuous learning opportunities
  • Competitive salary
  • The opportunity to help build a rapidly scaling start-up organization by taking strong ownership of your work, mentorship, and our unbounded leadership opportunities
