Please note that due to the nature of the role and with our HQ being in Boston(office is located in the Seaport), this person must be Greater Boston based/within a reasonable commuting distance to the office. We are currently operating in a hybrid model with about 40% of our workforce being located in the Greater Boston area.

The Role:

This operationally and strategically experienced VP of People & Culture will help Linus Health shape the company via successful people practices, great leadership, authentic company culture, and best Talent and People practices globally.  You will be responsible for managing and adapting a people strategy that supports the evolving business objectives of a fast-growing digital health company that is revolutionizing how brain health disorders are detected and managed.  The VP of People & Culture will continue evolving the Talent Acquisition, People Operations and Office Management functions while managing a team of HR professionals.  This individual will bring a track record of success in a fast-paced, high growth SaaS based company environment where they have operationalized a People vision across an organization.  Additionally, they must have demonstrated the ability to embed strong values into an organization, teams and individuals during growth, expansion and change.

What You'll Do:

People Strategy.  

  • Be responsible for the refinement and continuous improvement of the strategy for the people function to ensure that the business has the human capital needed to meet its goals.  Set clear vision, directions, and priorities for the team. 
  • Continue to develop a highly-effective, merit-based, innovative and inclusive culture based on our core values that provides a unique candidate and employee experience to carry out our mission and outperform others in the market.  
  • Create an inclusive culture that is rooted in meritocracy and strives to be representative of the diverse populations and communities we serve. 
  • Work with the team, managers and leaders to continue to evolve a strong in-person and remote culture and cross-functional culture.
  • Provide thought leadership, advisor and functional expertise to leaders regarding People and Talent that is scalable.
  • Work with People and Talent teams to set a clear, compelling vision for attracting, developing, training and retaining talent.
  • Partner with the team to drive employee well-being initiatives and connect to productivity and return on investment.   
  • Oversee strategies focused on the recruitment of an effective workforce, retention of talented employees, and equitable compensation across programs

Talent Acquisition.

  • Guide the global talent acquisition strategy to ensure workforce plans map to key business objectives and company goals
  • Ability to understand the different segments of the workforce and the required positions within these segments
  • Work with the team to effectively integrate the candidate experience with the employee experience.
  • Support and help drive efforts across employment branding with a focus on talent brand and strategy
  • Support and guide recruitment to help create a brand that appeals to diverse applicants.

Leadership, Learning and Development.

  • Drive a strong vision and implementation plan for continued organizational development to ensure people, policies and processes are in place to evolve the business.
  • Expand the Learning and Development function to include a continuous learning philosophy.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to managers and leaders, helping them strengthen and develop their capability as strong people managers and inspiring business leaders. 
  • Develop role-specific standards for success at all levels, from entry-level staff to senior leaders, that align with Linus Health’s goals and ensure the scope of roles is reasonable, has focus and clear metrics for success.

Compensation, Benefits, HRIS & Payroll (People Ops).

  • Stay on top of creative compensation trends.
  • Work with the People Ops team to optimize the Paylocity system.
  • Guide the global employment strategy - benefits, compensation, payroll systems, data.
  • Understand and work with the legal team to manage equity and stock option programs and how to use these as part of incentive programs.
  • Utilize systems to develop a data-based approach to People.

About You:

  • 15+ years of experience in all facets of People (preferably hands on work in several disciplines) for healthcare technology or SaaS based entities.  Must have been in a variety of People leadership positions at VP level or above for 7-10+ years.    
  • Experience in supporting and leading People functions with strong cultural emphasis and knowledge of how to build culture in a fast paced, early to mid-stage company
  • Experience building and scaling People functions for growth.
  • Must have led global expansion initiatives, particularly in the EU and Canada
  • Experience implementing programs that support candidate experience, employee experience, employee engagement and Well-Being
  • Effective and persuasive communicator, both oral and written, with effective emotional intelligence working with diverse and disparate personalities.
  • A passionate advocate with a growth mindset who never stops learning, creates conditions for success for our team, and prioritizes developing talent
  • Energetic, self-driven, curious, and relentlessly focused on building inclusive high- performing teams that are continually improving
  • Culturally respectful and self-aware
  • A track record of getting results using collaborative and strategic project management and organizational skills
  • Kind, empathetic, humble, direct, mission-driven, flexible, influential with a very high degree of personal integrity including the ability to manage sensitive or confidential information
  • A good listener who focuses on the root causes of issues, listens to understand, and makes connections between qualitative and quantitative information
  • Experience within healthcare, digital health or SaaS highly preferred
