About the role:

The VP of Performance Creative will lead the creative vision and strategy for client campaigns at BM Digital, focusing on performance-driven content across digital advertising and social media platforms. This role is instrumental in driving measurable results for our clients by blending creative excellence with data-driven insights. The VP of Performance Creative will manage a multidisciplinary creative team, collaborate with client stakeholders, and ensure that all creative outputs align with performance marketing goals.

As the leader of the Performance Creative function, you will be responsible for developing client-specific creative strategies that enhance user engagement and drive conversions. You will partner closely with account teams, performance marketers, and analysts to deliver creative assets that maximize ROI across paid media and social platforms, ensuring that all work is aligned with client KPIs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute high-impact, performance-driven creative strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients. Align creative direction with client goals, performance marketing objectives, and audience insights, ensuring that creative concepts drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of designers, copywriters, video editors, and content creators, ensuring that they deliver exceptional creative work for clients. Foster an innovative, data-driven culture that emphasizes experimentation, learning, and optimization in performance marketing.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, articulating creative strategies and performance results. Present creative concepts and performance outcomes directly to clients, making recommendations for optimization based on data insights and client feedback.
  • Collaborate with performance marketing and analytics teams to continually optimize creative assets based on performance data. Implement structured testing (A/B testing, multivariate testing) to drive continuous improvements in creative performance for clients.
  • Oversee the creation of performance content across multiple digital platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Google, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), ensuring that assets are tailored to each platform and audience segment while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Stay on the cutting edge of digital advertising trends, tools, and platforms. Introduce innovative creative approaches that enhance client campaigns, leveraging new formats (e.g., video, interactive content) and technologies (e.g., AR, dynamic creative optimization).
  • Lead the development of testing frameworks to ensure the creative team is consistently refining work based on real-time performance data. Report on the success of creative campaigns, and use insights to inform future creative decisions.
  • Support the business development team by providing creative leadership in client pitches, developing creative concepts and presenting performance strategies that differentiate BM Digital from competitors.
  • Partner with account management, media planning, and strategy teams to ensure seamless execution of client campaigns. Ensure that creative deliverables meet deadlines and align with overall client objectives.
  • While focusing on performance, ensure that all creative outputs align with each client's brand identity, voice, and tone. Ensure that all creative assets maintain brand consistency while adapting to performance marketing goals.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, freelancers, and creative partners as needed to execute large-scale or specialized creative projects for clients.

Ideal candidate profile

  • 7+ years in a creative leadership role, with a strong focus on performance-driven creative work. Experience in a digital marketing agency is essential.
  • In-depth experience working with E-commerce clients.
  • Demonstrated success in leading high-performing creative teams and producing content that drives measurable results for clients.
  • Deep understanding of performance marketing principles, including audience segmentation, A/B testing, optimization techniques, and platform-specific creative best practices.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with clients, presenting creative concepts, and delivering creative solutions that exceed client expectations.
  • Ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into creative solutions that enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building capabilities. Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team of creatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present creative ideas, strategies, and performance results effectively to both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends in digital advertising, creative formats, and social media platforms.

Compensation:

  • This is a full-time, remote position.
  • The compensation range is $250K - $550K USD annually, which includes base, bonus, and equity.
