Scratchpad is seeking a VP of Sales to build and lead our sales team to grow revenue through new logos and expansion in a high velocity sales environment across SMB, mid-market and enterprise. You will report directly to the CEO and will partner closely with Marketing, Customer Experience, and the leadership team.
ABOUT YOU
  • 10+ years of experience in technology sales in B2B SaaS, with at least five years in a senior leadership role
  • Have played a key role in scaling a sales team beyond $50M in ARR
  • A strong leader with the ability to work cross functionally with a diverse workforce
  • Skilled at building a cohesive team and facilitating goal accomplishment by aligning individual and team actions with strategies and plans to drive business results.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Driven, revenue oriented, individual who can energize others and influence their actions by setting ambitious goals and overcoming challenges by thinking in a creative manner while motivating others through those challenges
  • Understand selling to mid-market and enterprise customers through bottom-up adoption and a top-down sale
  • Appreciate how creating a delightful experience leads to more revenue

What you'll do as VP Sales
  • Develop sales strategy and execution plan
  • Build, optimize, and scale a sales team to meet sales goals and define optimal sales force structure
  • Deliver net new revenue against monthly targets from new and existing customers across SMB, mid-market and enterprise segments
  • Hire high quality talent on time and on budget
  • Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable the team to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
  • Identify where improvements can be made and develop success-driven plans
  • Deliver a consistent, accurate, and reliable revenue forecast to leadership on a weekly basis
  • Define and implement operational metrics and KPIs that measure, optimize, and continually improve efficiency and effectiveness of sales programs, tactics, and strategy
  • Create a culture of success that emphasizes continuous improvement and learning
  • Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
  • Partner with GTM leadership and cross-functional partners, including Product, to define tactics and strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Act as an executive sponsor in a customer-facing capacity
