What are we looking for?Â
HIBob is looking for a strategic VP of Sales Engineering to lead our global Sales Engineering team and support our GTM strategy for our award-winning Bob platform. We’re looking for a forward thinking, collaborative leader who is passionate about growing a team at a company that is changing what people thought HR could do.
As our Global VP of Sales Engineering, you will be managing a team of leaders and sales engineers, working closely as part of the sales organization with our global Sales leadership team to drive ARR growth. You’ll be responsible for managing and developing a team of sales engineers, collaborating with leaders to align technical solutions with sales and business objectives, and driving customer success through effective solution implementation. You will work collaboratively with our Product and Engineering teams to provide voice of the customer inputs. You’ll develop an in-depth knowledge base of our company’s technical products and services and should be able to relate this knowledge in a way that is understandable to non technical customers.Â
Our ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of the HR industry, workflows, processes and the ability to communicate the differentiated value of our platform.Â
**Note: We will only consider candidates located in the New York Metro Area who are willing to work in our NYC office at least 2-3 days per week. We love collaborating and connecting with our team members in person and we hope you will too!**
What will you do?
- Manage a team of global SE leaders and individual contributors
- Build on the existing team through the recruitment and ramping of SE’s globally to keep up with our high growth objectives.
- Prepare and develop technical demonstrations of our software in order to explain our company’s products/services to customers
- Lead discussion around needs and pains in the HR tech space with customersÂ
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements
- Communicate, educate and engage the Sales leadership team regarding new and planned activities
- Relay customers technical requirements and needs to the product team for development
- Keep the company up-to-date with market trends and competitive updates
- Set clear priorities and inspire and coach your team to achieve extraordinary results
Base salaries for this role range from $195,000-$250,000. Additionally this role has a variable compensation component.

- 8+ years of VP level managerial and leadership experience of sales engineering teams - in a high growth SaaS company
- Proven ability to build, grow, and mentor global teams, taking a hands-on approach to cultivating expertise, empowering functional leaders, and ensuring accountability
- Excellent technical, analytical and problem solving skills
- Strategic thinking role - aligning the sales engineering function with overall business and sales goals. Understanding market trends, customer needs and the competitive landscape.
- Developing effective strategies that drive revenue growth and maximize customer success.
- Exceptional ability to effectively communicate, influence, negotiate
- Highly effective team player with demonstrated ability to partner across function, rank and other differences
- Experience influencing and selling to the C Suite.
