This position reports to the SVP of Public Affairs and would build a proactive and forward-looking internal and external communications strategy, working with external public relations and advocacy consultants, to help promote the Company’s brand, culture, and product lines with internal and external stakeholders. This newly-created cross-functional position would support the Company’s revenue, government affairs, human resources, and investor relations departments.

What you’ll do:

  • Work cross-functionally across the Company to promote events, programs, publications, and other information to key audiences, including policy makers, thought leaders, the media, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Develop and produce (or oversee the production of) effective messages and omni-channel content for all external communications platforms, including social media, visual/video production, earned and paid media, and e-mail communications.
  • Assist the SVP of People Management by developing internal messaging and communications to support key employee initiatives, including employees’ professional growth, DEI, social awareness, and retention and recruitment efforts.
  • Assist the SVP of Government Affairs and the government affairs team with communications to elected officials and regulators, including press releases, legislative testimony, handouts, and other key collateral for use in lobbying and advocacy efforts.
  • Secure earned and paid media coverage that supports policy advocacy, key community initiatives, industry coalition projects, and leadership accomplishments and achievements. 
  • Assist the Director of Investor Relations with communications to existing and prospective investors and investor groups.
  • Field and respond to media inquiries.
  • Prepare training and exercises for planning and preparation around crises, and the communications strategies for such events.
  • Select and supervise the work of outside communications consultants, public affairs entities, and public relations firms.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public policy, public relations, journalism or related field is required.
  • Excellent speaking, writing, editing, proofreading, and training skills are required.
  • Knowledge and background in technology, social media, and emerging and innovative communications tools and resources is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience working in government and/or a political or policy association setting is preferred.
  • Experience in gaming, sports, entertainment or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience in journalism or media production is a plus.
  • A hybrid work schedule from the Company’s Atlanta office is preferred, but remote work with the willingness and ability to travel as needed will be considered for truly exceptional candidates.

Where you’ll live:

  • This is a Remote role so anywhere in the U.S. is fine.  Occasional travel to our HQ in Atlanta, GA may be required.
