VP of Venture Capital Relationships

How Position Supports TaskUs: TaskUs is looking for a VP of Venture Capital Relationships. This position will have an exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on the strategy to build mindshare and broaden the use of TaskUs products and services across the industry. The responsibilities will include driving the necessary business insights, strategic development, and technical relationships with venture firms and their portfolio companies, to establish meaningful business relationships. The position will work closely with the sales, technical and partner teams to drive strategic interactions to build long-term business opportunities. You'll also work closely with business development and marketing teams on strategic initiatives that align with TaskUs goals.
The ideal candidate will possess both a business background and experience that enables them to drive engagement, and effectively interact at the VC Partner level. They should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and bias for action is a must. They will also possess a passion for new and emerging technologies and how they can shape the future.
Position Standard Functions:
- Manage relationships with consumer-focused venture capitalists and private equity partners to find opportunities to help drive efficiencies in their portfolios.
- Understand trends in the venture ecosystem to identify new focus opportunities for the company.
- Build a process and KPIs for channel management including CRM management, pipeline funnel tracking, and attribution metrics.
- Work with the sales team to collaborate on prospecting and various sales opportunities throughout the pipeline.
- Embed yourself in the ecosystem by attending events and participating in TaskUs marketing events.
- Hosting unique experiences and events for VIPS.
- Leverage TaskUs resources to be consultative in potential solutions for investors' portfolios.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience working in venture capital or business development roles focused on venture capital
- A positive can-do attitude (bring 110% effort each day!)
- Tech-savvy, preferably with knowledge of contact centers, customer service, or AI/ML
- Self-starters, with a solution-oriented, growth mindset, and a strong sense of urgency
- Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills
