VP of Video Strategy

Position Summary
The VP of Video Strategy will lead a team of video strategists and operations personnel in growing the video footprint of our brands on the YouTube, Meta, Snapchat, and Tik Tok platforms. This role will be a cross-functional leader and the key video expert that will provide leadership and direction to members of the Strategy team.
This VP of Video Strategy will work closely with the CEO and report into the EVP of Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create monthly data analysis presentations with actionable insights and recommendations for the Creative, Production, and Strategy departments.
- Continuously refine and evolve content strategy plans to increase organic viewership.
- Set the programming calendar and green light video concepts which align with the overall content strategy in collaboration with the Creative department.
- Oversee experimental projects and videos in a steady cadence that does not interfere with current growth trajectory. These projects should not interfere with our current growth trajectory but should provide opportunities for innovation and expansion.
- Develop and maintain training and on-boarding materials for the Strategy department.
- Codify and streamline efficient workflows and processes to ensure deadlines are consistently met. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, improve productivity, and optimize resource allocation.
- Effectively pitch findings, goals, and plans of execution to C-level Executives.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the Strategy team to analyze, plan, and execute multi-platform, video distribution. This will involve providing guidance, and setting goals to ensure the team's efforts align with the Company objectives.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, constructive feedback, and support to direct reports with an effort to align their professional development with the department goals.
- Address and correct any performance deficiencies within the team promptly and effectively, ensuring a respectful and productive work environment.
- Maintain composure and lead by example during challenging times, demonstrating resilience and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Foster strong relationships and develop rapport with colleagues and the Executive team, promoting collaboration and effective communication.
- Understand and align with broader business decisions, translating them into actionable strategies and plans that execute the vision of the company while balancing the needs and capabilities of your team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Statistics, or related field, and 8+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and scaling audiences for video content.
- Deep understanding of video platform insights, and consumer trends to drive results.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing high-performance teams.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
