Role:
The VP, Americas Payroll Operations will have a minimum of 10 years leading a multinational, progressive payroll team operating within a large organization. The VP will possess strong leadership and change management skills, as we are a Company experiencing significant growth, M&A activity and transformation. This role will be overseeing and optimizing all aspects of payroll operations across the Americas region. This position reports to the SVP, Head of Global Payroll. The role will require strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the administration of the Company's Americas Payroll Operations for US, Canada and Latin America for 6,000+ employees, , including all applicable external service providers in connection with these functions.
Manage payroll tax statutory reporting including annual payroll tax returns, and garnishments.
Work with the SVP of Global Payroll and the Payroll leadership team to align processes, policies and procedures across the globe and coordinate regional efforts in order to standardize our processes while allowing for local flexibility when appropriate.
Manage partnership with ADP and CloudPay to optimize system functionality and exploit opportunities for process automation, including SLA's, Risk and compliance.
Ensure payroll compliance for accounting for stock-based compensation and the Company's global defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans as well as other employee benefits (i.e. medical and dental benefits and deferred compensation plans)
Ensure a strong and resilient control environment and ensure SOX controls are implemented in payroll processing
Participate in the annual audit process and quarterly reviews of global compensation and equity award disclosures.
Ensure a strong focus on risk and the creation and resolution of self-identified issues
Partner with Legal, HR, and Finance on the design of global equity programs and coordinate the rollout for existing participants and future acquisitions.
Handle complex payroll scenarios, such as international assignments, expatriate payroll, and cross-border payments.
Support development and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess payroll performance and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Implement payroll system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Conduct periodic payroll audits to ensure data accuracy, identify discrepancies, and resolve any payroll-related issues.
Lead and manage a team of payroll professionals, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and career development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting and work-related experience, required.
10+ years of experience working in a progressive payroll position within a global delivery environment, required, CPP Certification
Stellar knowledge of core, end to end payroll processes, equity award administration and procedures including controls, required and related compliance requirements
Expert knowledge of US, Canada and LATAM payroll knowledge, required
Workwise, SAP, Workday, ADP and CloudPay product suite advanced knowledge, preferred
Strong leadership presences, required and be an effective collaborator with cross-functional teams (e.g. Human Resources, Legal, etc.)
Effective communicator, both written and oral, and demonstrable expertise managing a global team
Must perform well in high-energy, dynamic, and team-oriented environments and adhere to project deadlines
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$160,100]] to [[$232,100]], depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
