You’ll work to lead our exceptional talent acquisition team by steering all hiring at HQ - from strategic planning to oversight of the day-to-day operations of this team.

The details: In this role, you’ll be the face of our company, and your spirit, values, ideas, and energy will impact and shape how people view and experience Axios as an employer. • Passion for and experience in people management and mentorship: desire to motivate, support and lead a team of exceptional people 
• Deep understanding of recruiting best practices, processes and data 
• Experience at high-growth, dynamic organizations (preferably technology companies) 
• Solutions-oriented mindset and proactive attitude
• Passion for building diverse teams, recognizing the collective power of teams whose members bring different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to the table
• Strong sense of client management/ client-services approach 
• Passion for effective collaboration and strong team-first attitude 
• Willingness to act as a player/coach at an early-stage start-up
