VP, Product

Job Summary:  

The VP Product has an unquenchable passion for helping customers and focusing the company around them. Thrives with more responsibility than authority. Is experienced with board members, executives, customers, design, technology, process, team leadership, and collaboration with internal groups and external partners. Keeps up-to-date on the latest trends, strategies, and best practices in product management and user centered design. Has a solid understanding of SaaS solution delivery and operations and agile development approaches in a regulated industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand and know our customers, their challenges and how they deal with those challenges today with respect to the competitive landscape, including but not limited to: current areas of inefficiencies, safety concerns, waste, less than optimal processes and additional potential areas of improvement.
• Evangelizing the product vision externally and internally based on market analysis to determine actionable strategies to make our vision a reality.
• Owning not just activity but quantifiable results for a differentiated and profitable product.
• Ensuring Medrio’s products remain the fastest to deploy and easiest to use in our industry.
• Determine the strategic direction of Medrio’s product development. 
• Manage Product Management and User Centered Design teams, providing coaching and mentoring. 
• Define product strategy and roadmap through interaction with cross-functional teams and a thorough understanding of client needs by conducting research, data analysis, customer interviews and educating internal teams on current and future product roadmap.
• Lead the development of product design and release processes and define, prioritize, and communicate short and long-term product goals.
• Collaborate with Sales, R&D and functional leaders on company strategy and how it translates to specific product initiative

Customers or Clients:

• Frequent interaction with customers to understand problems, challenges, and successes

Education and Years of Experience:

• 10+ years of PM experience and leadership
• Experience within the life sciences industry. 
• Solid understanding of cloud, Agile, and user centered design.

Working Conditions: 

Remote. Standard office conditions. Occasional travel.

Salary Range: $190,000 - $205,000
Bonus range: 0 - 20%
