The Opportunity
We are seeking a Vice President of Product Management for Adobe's online commerce. In this role you will develop a successful team responsible for product strategy, roadmap planning and fast-paced, iterative execution for Adobe's online commerce presence worldwide. You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, business partners, marketers and sales professionals to help develop the roadmap and grow online revenue. You will hire and develop extraordinary product managers and data professionals and help foster a collaborative, team-first organization.
This is a highly strategic and visible role with a direct interface to senior-most executives in the company. You will make strategic contributions to growth plans through delivery of strategic commerce platform capabilities. You will lead a diverse and fast-growing portfolio of product capabilities in partnership with the engineering organization.
What you'll do:
- Lead an impactful product management team and collaborate with the engineers, architects and designers to develop a commerce platform suitable for the growing needs of a diverse business.
- Continually strike a balance between short-term business needs and a long-term platform vision. Consistently drive to build an API-first, data and self-service oriented platform that fuels diverse growth aspirations.
- Focus on instrumentation and analytics to help optimize the platform capabilities.
- Define the big picture strategy, evangelize the vision with executives and be the strategic voice of all things commerce. Be a well-recognized inspiring leader who leads from the front and gets things done.
- Keep a pulse on emerging trends and skate where the puck is headed to be ahead of the need. Be data driven and persuasive to bring industry standard methodologies to Adobe and guide change for the rest of the organization.
- Make build-vs-buy decisions on a routine basis, and work with industry leading technology partners to bring innovative capabilities to the commerce platform. Be very pragmatic to balance the short-term goals against long term bets.
- Translate big picture goals into specific priorities, plans and objectives. Work closely with teams to deliver multiple sophisticated programs in parallel.
What you need to succeed:
- 15+ years of demonstrated ability in product management, including industry-leading experience in leading and building commerce platforms.
- 10+ years' proven experience building and leading high-performance product management and growth teams with seasoned leadership.
- Experience building internet-scale global commerce B2B and B2C platforms suitable for growing, diverse and global commerce presence for Adobe.
- Keen eye for optimal designs and experiences - fanatical devotion to reducing friction in customer experiences.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to implement complex product strategy and delivering to an aggressive set of objectives.
- Create a learning organization that's keen to experiment, measure, react and keep moving forward; an organization that takes action, is data driven, and willing to experiment quickly and learn from mistakes.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $183,700 -- $455,500 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
