Job Description

The role of the Relationship Manager is to manage and grow Nuveen’s most important firm-level relationships through a process of strategic account management that includes identifying the mutual intersections, prioritizing the best opportunities, selling in those opportunities internally and externally and creating a plan to ensure the best execution.



Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Leads as point of engagement with key client decision makers on behalf of the Nuveen organization; collaborates on strategy, objectives and execution to build an effective business plan.

  • Provides information to clients on the organization's priorities – including products, capabilities & firm initiatives - in order to help Nuveen realize its enterprise goals.

Collaborates to identify longer term opportunities that mutually align with clients’ strategic plans and projects.

  • Determines best fit to align near term client opportunities, efficiently and effectively leveraging internal resources.

  • Builds and maintains strong partnerships with Centers of Influence across assigned list of clients.

  • Applies thorough knowledge of clients’ business when partnering on additional resource commitments.

  • Acts as primary point of contact for all service related issues, aligning a strong internal support network to meet needs, efficiently.

  • Strong partnership & regular collaboration with Investment Specialist partner for both traditional and alternative best opportunities.

     

  • Educational Requirements

    • University (Degree) Preferred

    Work Experience

    • 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred

    FINRA Registrations

    • SRC Indicator: Series 7; Series 63

    Physical Requirements

    • Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work

    Required Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of national accounts experience
    • Series 7 and Series 63

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of national accounts experience
    • Experience with mutual funds, SMAs, ETFs and/or alternative investments
    • Strong understanding of RIAs
    • Operations experience or/and understanding

    Potential Salary: $110,000.00 USD

    Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
