VP Research & Development

At Autofleet, we support the world’s largest vehicle fleet operators and transportation providers to optimize existing operations and seamlessly launch new, dynamic business models - driving efficient operations and maximizing utilization.

We are looking for a brilliant and highly motivated VP R&D who is a technological leader, with strong interpersonal and managerial skills. Passionate about leading a fast growing and high-performing team, that is customer centric in a B2B SaaS company.

Reporting to the CTO, you will be taking end-to-end responsibility for the company’s R&D strategy, performance, and deliverables on tight schedules in a fast-paced environment.

As VP R&D you will work closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, product managers and the rest of the executive team, to define and execute the company's R&D strategy.

What you’ll do:

• Be part of Autofleet’s executive leadership team
• Manage, hire and coach our R&D teams, while providing tech leadership, mentoring the team, and implementing best practices
• Establish and implement methodologies and processes to accommodate the business needs, drive transparency and ensure 100% customer satisfaction while maintaining a high level of quality and stability
• Working hand-in-hand with product and business operations to execute features from the requirements to acceptance by our customer base
• Engage with customers and prospects directly in order to support and understand their needs
• Partner and work closely with all company stakeholders including sales, marketing, product, business operations and support

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in R&D teams, 5+ years of managing R&D teams.
• Experience in B2B SaaS companies
• Experience in developing cloud-based applications, mobile apps, and web applications.
• Experience with big data environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, focusing on finding creative and innovative solutions.
• Ability to balance business needs, a sense of urgency, and shipping high quality and pragmatic solutions
• Technical experience with the following technologies would be an advantage: Nodejs / Python, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, React and React Native, ML, and Data science tools.
