Job Summary

The Vice President of Revenue Management is responsible for maximizing pricing and revenue, overseeing sales forecasting, optimizing promotions/menu/product strategies, and enhancing overall profitability. The role provides strong revenue management depth and the ability to understand and articulate the consumer and business value of Papa Johns' full suite of items, the dynamics of the markets in which we compete, and the business value we deliver.

The role works closely with the finance, culinary, and broader marketing organizations to draw the correlation between a product price and the quality of the customer experience and value perception. In partnership with the menu innovation organization, provides feedback on products, monetization strategies, and how to effectively bundle various offerings to best suit the consumption needs of the customer.

Duties & Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue management strategy aligned with the company's financial and business objectives, ensuring revenue growth across all company and franchise restaurants and locations.
  • Manage the evolution of Papa Johns' pricing strategy today and develop the roadmap for tomorrow across DTC, franchise and third-party aggregators
  • Determine the optimal future pricing model (taking into account financial models, customer drivers of value, legal, competitor, procurement vehicles, operational considerations).
  • Identify real world customer tests and pilots that help validate pricing and promotion assumptions.
  • Identify the right buying approach to simplify, and best help their customers start, and expand, their journey with Papa Johns.
  • Determine how to create the appropriate consistency across the product families.
  • Identify what segment, geo/currency, channel pricing and discounting framework and rule gates should be, and what are the pricing curves.
  • Determine how to best communicate Papa Johns' pricing approach to customers.
  • Understand how to price new products and limited time offers/promotions
  • Conduct regular competitive analysis to identify market trends, emerging opportunities, and threats, providing strategic recommendations to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Develop overall promotional strategy and programming, aligning promotions and pricing/discounts with revenue goals and market dynamics, and analyzing the effectiveness of promotional efforts to drive revenue growth
  • Manage and guide franchisees on pricing strategy and store level pricing execution that helps drive transactions while optimizing profit.
  • Oversee the development of robust sales forecasting models annually, utilizing historical data, market trends, and operational insights to provide accurate and actionable forecasts
  • Build an analytics capability to include gathering historical data, implementing data capture processes, and establishing consistent performance KPIs across revenue driving initiatives
  • Develop an insights engine that can provide on-demand visibility across the menu in terms of sales forecasting, pricing / promotions modeling and results, consumer trends, etc.
  • Dissect, communicate, and drive actionable insights around demand / channel optimization across DTC, franchise, and third-party aggregators.
  • Manage the marketing department budget effectively, allocating resources to meet department goals and priorities.
