Responsibilities
  • Chief ambassador for Yahoo Finance to marketing communications leaders/chief marketing officers across the financial sector
  • Responsible for growing advertising/sponsorship revenue, working in close collaboration with Yahoo Finance product and content leads and Yahoo-wide sales leaders
  • Efficient, organized manager and clear internal communicator
  • Choreographs overall "offer" to marketers across all Yahoo Finance assets: Web and mobile advertising types and placements; Video advertising, program sponsorships, editorial integration and custom programming development; Event sponsorships, and other yet-to-be imagined ideas
  • Keeps abreast of major content themes and efforts to identify potential new opportunities for monetization
  • Identify and prioritize the medium-term revenue growth opportunities, and work with senior management to establish and implement the plan for ensuring needed resources to support sales strategy
  • Reports to President/GM of Yahoo Finance and dotted line to the Sales team. Works closely with the Yahoo sales team.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years relevant sales management experience in financial services/business media
  • 5+ years experience in sales management overseeing a team of at least 5 to 10 others
  • Strong network of relationships in relevant industry sectors
  • Excellent external communication skills
  • Experience selling/supporting multi-part packages involving mix of digital media types and events

Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep familiarity with the top financial-industry voices and influencers
  • Demonstrated comfort and fluidity in public speaking and media appearances
  • Passionate about Yahoo Finance's mission to become the preferred first stop for Americans seeking insight and guidance about acquiring and managing their wealth

The compensation for this position ranges from $336,000.00 - $560,000.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program. Yahoo has a high degree of flexibility around employee location and hybrid working. In fact, our flexible-hybrid approach to work is one of the things our employees rave about.
