The U.S. healthcare system is experiencing a staffing crisis. Employers spend $20 billion per year recruiting clinicians to care for the rapidly aging U.S. population. Nomad replaces antiquated staffing agencies with modern technology to efficiently source, qualify, and hire medical talent on demand. Clinicians find better jobs with higher pay. The VP of Sales with Client Services at Nomad will lead and own our strategy for acquiring health system clients within both direct and MSP partnerships while also leading our Demand product introduction and adoption within the healthcare staffing market.  The primary role will be to build and manage an industry-leading sales team. Your leadership will be critical to Nomad’s ability to achieve its aggressive growth objectives on its journey to becoming the dominant provider of contract healthcare professionals in the U.S. 


Responsibilities will include:

-Demonstrate creative leadership in the sales effort to expand the health system client base, including existing account expansion, channel partner relations, and direct client sales.

-Structure, negotiate and close complex and sophisticated deals involving top level decision makers within health systems, channel partners, and other key external parties.

-Define and implement through your teams repeatable sales strategies, processes, and tactics that support the achievement of team goals.

--Hire, lead and retain top sales executives while meeting budgeted headcount objectives.

-Monitor and manage team goals and performance and ensure the team understands how their work aligns and relates to broader business goals and strategies.

-Coach your team to persistently generate client leads through strategic sales initiatives.

-Participate actively in the leadership of the company as a member of the executive management team.

-Define and lead strategic initiatives across your teams and the broader organization.

-Lead the strategic planning and implementation of new revenue opportunities. Activities will include market testing and research, early customer acquisition and management, amongst other critical activities to ensure Nomad’s successful entry into the new market opportunities.

-Contribute to enterprise-level projects and decision-making in partnership with the other members of the management team. Develop industry relationships with both facility client-based and staffing industry associations/organizations.

-Manage through clear OKR’s and KPI’s set to measure activity, wins, revenue targets through management of individual sales pipelines

-create training and processes that will lead Nomad into the future anticipated growth already outlined

-Develop and manage dashboards and integration of salesforce as the ‘single point of truth’ for your sales organization and integral to align with account management. 


How will you get started at Nomad?  In your first few weeks at Nomad you will: 

-Spend time with each of your team members

-Review all existing client relationships and prospects

-Develop a full understanding of Nomad’s differentiated offering 

-Understand the various interaction points between clinicians and clients on the Nomad platform 

-Review your department’s budget

-Get acquainted with key stakeholders across all functions of Nomad

-Review the history, strategic plans and near term goals of Nomad 

-Gain a thorough understanding of Nomad’s thinking on its new business opportunities and needs                                                              


In your first few months at Nomad you will:

-Help design and establish a successful plan to test new market opportunities

-Identify best sales practices across current team

-Onboard continued top talent

-Integrate salesforce measures across Client Services organization

-Build out a full sales org that represents sales support as well as sales leaders

-Manage a proposal team to support added contracts through an established RFI/RFP method

-Establish contract review processes

-Become Nomad’s leading face to external counterparties, owning the growth of the client-side of the business

-Of course, the product and the company continuously evolve and adapt, so your role will also evolve with time — with a sharp eye towards your professional development and personal satisfaction. 


Who will you work with?                                                                                                

As a key member of Nomad’s management team you will interact frequently with  Nomad leaders and their chief reports across the company. These will include:

Operations, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and HR


Who are you?

-15+ years experience in sales management experience in the healthcare staffing  and/or HIT industry

-Track record of significant client acquisitions with healthcare systems where your personal involvement was key to the close

-Track record of successfully managing significant healthcare system accounts with strong retention and growth experiences

-Track record of building, coaching, and managing high performance teams of 10+ employees and maintaining high employee retention

-Passion for building relationships and empathy for customers and their experiences References that attest to your collaborative leadership skills with peers

-Interest in technology and the benefits it can create in the healthcare industry

-An experienced leader working within Salesforce and managing through clear KPI’s and OKR’s

-You are passionate and outspoken on your desire to grow and succeed within your sales organization and not afraid to share ideas and thoughts with the pathway to succeed.


Compensation includes an attractive base salary and bonus opportunity. The position is a key member of the leadership team and, therefore, is awarded substantial equity opportunities.
