What we’re looking for:

We are a rapidly growing Enterprise Solutions team responsible for building and growing Arcadia’s enterprise software line of business, also known as Arc, looking for an experienced VP, Enterprise Sales to lead our indirect sales efforts across multiple customer verticals.

Arcadia’s one-of-a-kind platform allows customers to improve their products and services by offering unparalleled access to utility data, tariff data, energy analytics, a financial payments layer with bundled utility billing, ESG data, and clean energy services solutions. As the primary market-facing organization within Arcadia, this team also plays an meaningful role in crafting the long-term product roadmap by looking ahead at evolving market needs and opportunities in the clean energy economy.

This person will be responsible for leading the indirect sales team comprised of four customer verticals, helping develop our sales and go-to-market efforts, and for being accountable for accurately forecasting and delivering against the team’s quarterly sales targets. The ideal person can speak about distributed energy resources and APIs in the same sentence and will establish themself as a trusted advisor to both internal and external partners about how Arcadia’s software capabilities can unlock significant value. This role will require an ability to both “roll up the sleeves” and close deals, as well as a willingness to help design and implement new sales processes, demand generation strategies and sales enablement tools to enable the team to scale.

To be successful in this role, you will need a positive can-do attitude and should demonstrate both high “IQ” and high “EQ”. The ideal person will be comfortable working closely with executives, demonstrate a high level of business acumen and executive presence, and can work collaboratively with multiple cross-functional groups resolve issues and ultimately help drive business growth. The right person must possess strong verbal and interpersonal skills, be a self-starter, take initiative and be willing to leave ego at the door!

Arcadia is headquartered in Washington, DC, and open to fully remote candidates. This role will report to our SVP Sales, Enterprise.

  • Lead a team of experienced sales professionals to support the accelerating growth of the business in existing and new verticals
  • Drive active Enterprise opportunities over the full lifecycle of sales engagement, from synthesizing initial customer needs through negotiating commercial terms and ongoing executive level support as the customer grows
  • Provide ongoing forecasting data and metrics to Commercial leadership to ensure team success
  • Help inform our enterprise go-to-market and sales engagement strategy, including providing expert input into market and customer prioritization, pricing feedback, and commercialization approach
  • Help design, implement and supervise pipeline generation activities in coordination with Marketing and the BDR team
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with executive sponsors across the industry, demonstrating thought leadership and an understanding of evolving business needs in the decentralized energy economy
  • Hire, lead and empower premier sales talent
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship and commercial guidance to your team to help them get more deals closed in a timely manner
What will help you succeed: Must-haves:
  • 10+ years of shown experience in enterprise sales, solutions consulting, at a relevant startup, or in the utility/energy/ESG sectors
  • 7+ years leading a team of enterprise or SaaS sales professionals
  • You are an outstanding sales leader with a consistent track record of delivering results in a fast-paced growth company environment
  • Your decisions are advised by data, and you know how to use analytics to draw insights to continually optimize sales strategies.
  • Proven track record designing and implementing best-in-class sales processes and infrastructure needed to scale a growing sales team
  • You’re a sales leader who loves to roll up their sleeves and can jump into the “weeds” when vital.
  • You are passionate about building, encouraging, and ensuring the success of your team.
  • Ability to build and cultivate relationships with sophisticated enterprise partners, and to negotiate commercial terms to build mutually beneficial outcomes

Target Annual Compensation Range for this role will be $180,000 to $280,000. There will also be a competitive benefits and equity (bonus if applicable) component to the package. The exact compensation at which this job is filled will be determined by the skills, experience, and location of the qualified candidate.
