Job Description

The Role
The VP, Technology Applications provides strategic and tactical leadership and works in collaboration with the IT Leadership team and Business Partners to deliver an integrated technology solutions through GTI's applications and integration of technology platforms.
From an Applications standpoint, this role will oversee a team who will manage and support all aspects of maintenance, development, enhancement and expansion of the application systems to improve business processes and support critical business strategies. They will supervise the various phases of applications systems analysis, development, coordination, implementation, and documentation ensuring that user applications and sub-system activities are compatible with total system objectives. Additionally, this role will lead projects and work inter/intra-departmentally to support various phases of the implementation process in the planning and orchestrating technical diligence and integration activities for current and future acquisitions.
Our ideal candidate will f ocus on the performance and the operational support for the business while "thinking outside the box" to solve problems and can lead through ambiguity with a solutions-oriented perspective. They prioritize the development and cultivation of deep business relationships and can reconcile conflicts in regard to resources, deadlines, standards, prioritizations in a highly fast-paced business and industry.
This position requires US travel up to 25%. Onsite work is required.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate IT Governance process in coordination with senior management, participate in planning for future business needs
  • Effectively manage and implement IT projects on time and on budget through a disciplined program management approach
  • Effectively manage application systems to ensure SLAs and uptimes are met
  • Effectively manage budget planning and execution
  • Develop and maintain systems and team performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensures that appropriate controls exist, that processing is efficient and accurate, and that information systems procedures comply with corporate standards.
  • Supervise technical personnel, both internal and external, involved in the development of new applications and/or maintenance and operation of existing information technology systems
  • Develop and lead the team to meet the changing needs of the business and users, new projects and technologies
  • Supervise multiple applications through development and support phases
  • Collaborate with various business teams to continuously evolve our systems with a focus on supporting increased sales and profitability.
  • Act strategically to consolidate and leverage existing applications to streamline business processes and reduce overhead.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management and all users of information services and system

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of technical program/project management experience in a fast-paced technology company and/or consulting
  • 5+ years of experience with enterprise applications that directly impact store business operations and/or manufacturing applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management or a related field, preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading technology/infrastructure integration programs
  • Experience in managing application landscape for a retail and/or production environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of technical staff, to work with the Executive Leadership of an organization, and to manage multiple, concurrent projects
  • Possess a high level of business acumen with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Provide a proactive and focused leadership style that embodies absolute integrity and dependability
  • Able to effectively communicate (verbal and written) and develop relationships across the company's various organizations
  • Experience managing development and implementation projects with external technology teams and internal IT teams, and business stake holders
  • Exceptional organization and planning skills and process-driven thinking
  • Self-starter, creative, enthusiastic, innovative and collaborative outlook
  • Adapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment

  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Must pass any and all required background checks
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  • Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb
  • Must have a solid understanding of the Cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws.
