Role Summary/Purpose:

The VP, Technology Program Leader will align closely with multiple client teams and be responsible for driving technology solutions to meet client growth, productivity and compliance objectives. This leader will provide technology leadership, client relationship, program management, vendor management, prioritization, and functional expertise for our retail partners. It will be essential that this leader has strong influencing skills, prior experience managing complex programs as well as a collaborative approach to building relationships in a cross-functional team environment. This individual will collaborate with product owners, the cross-functional portfolio team, and other digital teams within Synchrony to drive new innovation in digital and deliver the best experience to our clients and customers.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides vision, leadership, and strategy to drive technology programs related to the assigned strategic clients/portfolios
  • Partner with key stakeholders, including client team, product owners, client technology leaders, developers, architects and other stakeholders, to shape business requirements and provide ongoing communication through project execution
  • Partner with Sales and Go To Market teams to identifies new opportunities to drive growth and integration across multiple clients
  • Strong analytical and technical skill set used to drive requirements, testing and production validation.
  • Gains knowledge of the partners technical environment and processes
  • Responsible for proactively communicating to key stakeholders on production support issues and resolution
  • Responsible for wing to wing delivery of client aligned initiatives, including issue resolution and budget management
  • Ensures process rigor and adherence to program methodology standards, including all required project and client documentation is updated accordingly
  • Financial planning and ownership of program budget
  • Weekly initiative/project dashboard review to ensure execution & measure results
  • Work closely with other client project management teams to create programs across clients where applicable; ensures best practice sharing across multiple clients
  • Develops, maintains, and ensures compliance of application release management, outage management and change control processes and standards.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline with 8+ years of Information Technology project delivery experience OR in lieu of a degree, 10+ years of project Information Technology experience
  • 5+ years proven experience managing the delivery of credit technology solutions for clients
  • Experience working with Clients/Partners as well as vendors
  • Minimal travel may be required as needed

  • Ability to shepherd multiple concurrent priorities to completion without significant guidance.
  • Superior oral, written and client communication skills, as well as the ability to manager expectations of the business, clients, team members, management and external groups

Grade/Level: 13

The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
