This high leverage, high impact opportunity will be responsible for infrastructure management tools, core technology platforms, and technological operational practices that support the technology and business functions at Western Union. This person will play a thought leadership, advisory, facilitative, and implementation oversight role for all core technology implementations. The role will be responsible to develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the Datacenter strategy (facilities, networking, telecom, compute, storage, etc…), all ITSM process improvements (incident, problem, change, etc…), end user compute and device strategy, and other core technology strategies. The Technology Services VP will oversee and achieve cost savings objectives critical to the organization through simplification of core services and improve quality with improved governance and oversight of processes and procedures.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a Technology Services strategy that will simplify technology services and improve the quality and performance of the organization.
  • Deliver on cost savings targets through vendor simplification, redundant tech elimination, and more accurate spend forecasting and cost management control processes.
  • Collaborate with technology and business leaders to understand and align the technology services roadmap to the organizations OKRs and partner with peer executives to drive a prioritization strategy across the company.
  • Oversee the execution of core technology initiatives.
  • Perform executive leader responsibilities for budget, talent mapping, KPI reporting, mentoring and guiding leadership in the organization.

Role Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in technology industry with specific background in Architecture, Software Engineering, Production Application Management, Budget Management, Organizational leadership
  • Extensive experience in complex global companies, preference for financial services industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance, or Information Technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence effectively at various levels.
  • 10+ years of management or leadership experience.
  • Deep understanding of all aspects of a technology organization, technology operating models, and product and software development lifecycles.

  • •10+ years of building and leveraging cross-functional relationships requiring executive presence

Salary

The base salary range is $250,000 – $290,000 USD per year. An annual bonus and stock incentives align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
