Position at SBM Management

The VP, Total Rewardsis responsible for collaborating with Senior Leadership to define and drive the strategic direction of Total Rewards which includes benefits, compensation and payroll, as well as to ensure that all programs align to business needs and growth strategies.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and operational management for the planning, developing, and administering of an innovative benefits strategy that will attract, engage, and retain top talent for the organization. This includes design, implementation, communication, compliance, and evaluation of health & welfare, retirement, disability plans, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Provide strategic direction and operational management for all Compensation and Rewards programs, including the design, communication, and execution of executive compensation programs.
  • Continuously evaluate and evolve our Compensation and Rewards programs to ensure they are externally competitive, internally aligned with our business needs, and ultimately incenting the intended behaviors/outcomes.
  • Lead ongoing market analysis, design, and execution of our compensation programs.
  • Own the preparation of all compensation materials for presentation to the senior leadership team and HR team members
  • Establish and measure key compensation and benefit program metrics. Regularly benchmark company programs and monitor external trends to proactively adjust company plans and programs to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication strategies to drive employee awareness and understanding of all total reward programs.
  • Lead and drive projects that improve payroll processes, tools and enable us to scale the business more effectively
  • Proactive leadership and direction to ensure the timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly and weekly payroll in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policy
  • Manage, lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented Total Rewards professionals.
  • Demonstrated success in partnering with finance leaders, legal team, and other key stakeholders to develop a dynamic total rewards program.
  • Lead all mandatory compensation and benefits reporting in accordance with compliance standards.
  • Work with various vendors to negotiate the best prices and incentives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources at mid to large size companies
  • 6+ years of experience in benefits, compensation, and payroll
  • Must have experience with complex comp plans, including short-term and long-term incentives
  • Experience in broad-based compensation and exec compensation functions
  • Experience in US Benefits, including fully insured, self-insured plans, 401K, as well as all standard regulatory and reporting matters
  • Current working knowledge of HRIS systems, ideally UKG
  • Experience managing multi-state payroll in a union and non-union environment
  • Conversant in end-to-end data collection, mining, and translation to business objectives
  • Track record of successful team leadership and demonstrated influencer across multiple teams
  • Must have experience Managing Corp Benefits programs, Pay structure, Bonuses, commissions Structure ETC.
