Job Description

As a thought leader, you'll drive innovation in our global rewards and HRIS strategy, responsible for leading Intelsat's worldwide benefits, compensation and HRIS functions and developing competitive total remuneration programs that support the Company's strategic objectives, while ensuring cost effectiveness and regulatory compliance. Responsible for areas such as sales, executive, equity and incentive compensation, and retirement and health and welfare programs, and HRIS system optimization. Acts as an expert consultant to senior management in support of people analytics that inform data decisions to key stakeholders.

  • Contribute to development of HR strategy and objectives that build high performing teams.
  • Lead and develop a high performing Total Reward and HRIS team.

  • Evolve and execute a total rewards strategy that is fully aligned with the Intelsat strategic objectives and culture, motivates performance, and supports the attraction and retention of high performing talent.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation, benefits, and recognition program policies, guidelines, and procedures, recommending plan revisions, as well as new plans, in support of evolving strategic objectives.
  • Foster a strong culture of recognition through Intelsat's recognition program.
  • Lead and maintain accuracy of employee data for analysis, regulatory compliance, reporting and distribution.
  • Lead initiatives to ensure HRIS and data analytics platform provide necessary decision support information to key stakeholders.
  • Develop and sustain appropriate controls to maintain and report on HR information.
  • Selects and/or works with outside consultants, brokers, trustees, and attorneys in managing various plans and systems.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Accounting, Payroll and Legal to ensure regulatory compliance for Total Rewards programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, local, and federal laws.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and engagement in support of M&A activities.

Required Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:
  • BS/BA degree in a related field plus minimum ten years of progressively responsible HR experience, preferably with a multinational or international organization. Proven experience leading a total reward and HRIS team through a sustained, high-growth period and readiness in both private and public company environments.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and strong business acumen.
  • Ability to effectively interface with senior management.
  • Experience with international comp/benefits preferred.
  • Direct experience and understanding of qualified defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans to include management and efficient allocation of defined benefit plan assets, asset performance monitoring, preparation and monitoring of investment policy guidelines and annual expense and funding valuations of plan assets and liabilities, pension calculations, COLA administration, and comparable experience with 401(k) plan administration.
  • Knowledge of ERISA requirements, FMLA tracking, and workers' compensation administration.
  • Deeply values and excels at the hands-on development of teammates, challenging them to reach levels they thought impossible and role modeling a growth mindset.
  • A Business mindset with a strong aptitude for understanding business needs and building programs to meet those business objectives.
  • Experience with implementing, iterating, and scaling total rewards programs based on the changing needs of the business.
  • Expert knowledge of total rewards principles and techniques.
  • Extensive experience overseeing executive compensation including regular engagement on preparing materials and advising the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Ability to align desired outcomes with data to have evidence-based discussions and decision-making.
  • Experience overseeing the implementation of HRIS compensation modules for a streamlined teammate experience.
  • Remain current on laws, regulations, and plan design trends, ensuring that the organization's policies and programs conform and are competitive.
  • Ensuring all HR-related systems are compliant with data protection laws.
  • Experience in leading stock plan administration.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Oracle or other ERP experience preferred.
