What You'll Bring:
- The successful candidate will bring relevant treasury and capital markets experience. The treasurer will have broad finance and business skills and will bring a vision for a world class treasury function, that partners with management and operating teams to develop and advance strategic plans. To fulfill this mandate effectively, the individual will collaborate closely with counterparts in finance, other key executives throughout the company, and representatives of major financial institutions.
- 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in corporate treasury, including a minimum of five years of leadership experience. Particular depth in debt capital markets and managing external constituents is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional depth of knowledge of corporate finance, treasury operations and capital markets. Expertise in international markets.
- Experience in a public, global business of relevant scale and complexity.
- An undergraduate degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related area. Graduate degree and treasury certifications are a plus.

Impact You'll Make:
The treasurer is a key member of Transunion's finance leadership team and has a mandate to contribute broadly at the company. The treasurer is responsible for of all treasury activities including corporate finance strategy, capital markets, global cash management, risk management and hedging, , debt management, and relationships with financial institutions and rating agencies.
The treasurer will bring a vision for building and leading a strategically aligned and tactically oriented global treasury team that supports and leverages the company's organizational infrastructure. This position sets a clear vision of how a best-in-class treasury function can drive value creation across the enterprise which includes leading a transformation of the global treasury operations by establishing regional centers of excellence (CoE). The position also plays a key leadership role in the finance organization. To fulfill this mandate effectively, the treasurer will work closely with counterparts in areas such as controllership, financial planning and analysis, tax, global audit, and with senior representatives of major financial institutions.
- Corporate Finance: Partner with leadership to plan and manage the company's capital structure, including analysis and management of share repurchase and dividend policy programs.
- Capital Markets and Interest Rate Management: Manage long- and short-term debt and monitor the markets for opportunities to minimize interest rate risk. Determine and implement mixture of fixed-rate versus floating-rate debt, as needed. Maintain good relationships with rating agencies. Provide necessary standby liquidity with a bank credit facility to backstop commercial paper issuance at an effective cost with minimal restrictive covenants. Manage the global cash and investment portfolio.
- Cash Management and Treasury Operations: Lead the cash forecasting, reporting and planning processes and ensure the company's cash obligations are met in a cost-effective manner. Manage movement of funds to meet daily operating needs. Partner with others to increase the use of electronic means of collection and payment and to insure appropriate internal controls are in place for this electronic environment. Include funds flow in decision-making process.
- Foreign Exchange Management: Manage currency and interest rate hedging programs. Protect foreign cash flow and profits from unreasonable fluctuations in local currencies. Monitor foreign exchange transactions and exposure. Apply value-at-risk analysis. Limit exposure at a favorable cost through hedging tools, financial structure, and natural operating hedges. Provide operations with necessary spot foreign exchange funding.
- Legal Entity Management: Coordinate with tax and legal counterparts on the domestic and international subsidiary structures to enhance cash flow and reduce effective tax rates where appropriate.
- Leadership: Provide the professional leadership necessary to build and maintain a "best practices" treasury department. Recruit, retain, mentor and develop employees to reach their potential and meet the needs of the business today and in the future. Drive the transformation of the global treasury function through the implementation of regional CoEs and transition of treasury work from local countries.
- Risk Management: Protect the company's financial strength and its employees against the risk of catastrophic loss and injury. Partner with the insurance experts in the legal organization to ensure insurance coverage allows for appropriate risk retention and competitive premiums.
- Relationships: Serve as a primary interface with the financial community. Establish and manage relationships with major commercial banks, investment banks, and other external advisors in order to achieve favorable terms and to create the most effective and productive treasury department. Assess financing ideas that are presented by commercial banks and investment banks and determine appropriate action steps. Represent TransUnion as needed with industry groups and with major customers, suppliers and government agencies.
