VyStar's paid internship experience is dynamic and tailored to your interests and needs of the organization. The internship is primarily located in the Jacksonville, FL headquarters office. To gain additional experience, Interns must have the capability to travel to VyStar branch locations. We believe you will enjoy and grow during your internship experience. (Intern program begins on June 5 and concludes on August 4.)

What you'll do:

This position will partner with several members of the Advanced Analytics Group (AAG) on key projects during their internship. At the end of the internship, the Intern will have completed a business deliverable they can exhibit in a skillset package, matured their technical and business aspects of the work they are assigned, and have a better understanding of how to operate within a business enterprise. Projects may include:

  • AAG Insights Analytics: Develop skills across Microsoft's Power Platform to include Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps. Interact will all areas of the company as you provide new ways of using data to increase efficiency in reporting and operations for each business unit.
  • AAG Modelling Data Science: Develop skills in data wrangling, data science, and machine learning utilizing real world data to solve business problems via predictive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Agile: Develop skills in agile workflows including sprint development, backlog management and related aspects.

Education & Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university
  • Rising College Juniors, Seniors or Graduate Students
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Participation in college organizations and the community
  • Flexibility to work with multi-disciplined teams
  • Strong use of Microsoft Office Tools
  • GPA of 3.0 preferred

Educational Majors preferred, but not limited to:

Data Analytics, Data Governance, Data Engineering, Systems Analysts, Business, Business Analytics, Data Policy/Insight/Integrity, Data Science, Data Management, Mathematics with Computer Science Minor

(Preferred, but not necessary, certifications in Lean/Six Sigma; Agile/Scrum; Coding & Analytics Programs such as Python, R, and related packaged applications such as Power BI, and Data Bricks)
