About the Role:

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for the end-to-end management of complex projects in accordance with the terms of the customer agreement and the Company Project Management Framework. The SPM may manage a group of loosely related projects for an enterprise client or may own a services program for a client. Projects may include several technology areas. In addition, the SPM will build meaningful relationships with a diverse group of internal and client-facing professionals to ensure successful project delivery and foster the development of future opportunities. The SPM may be involved with coaching and mentoring other project management team members.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and manage comprehensive project/program plans in alignment with the scope and objectives defined in the Statement of Work.
• Adapt or tailor project management approach as needed to optimize successful delivery or per client request.
• Incorporate program management tools or approaches as appropriate to efficiently manage across projects.
• Lead multiple cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of a successful solution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the client for the engagement.
• Collaborate as required to address business or technical issues related to the project.
• Proactively manage risks and dependencies across multiple projects/programs and resolve issues as they occur.
• Track all project-related costs, and proactively manage project financial health, ensuring client satisfaction and project profitability.
• Facilitate the development of all project-related deliverables and obtain approvals as required.
• Ensure that the project delivers the desired solution, remains within budget, and is delivered on time with the appropriate level of quality.
• Manage vendors or contractors if part of the project team.
• Partner with Sales to build relationships with clients to identify future opportunities.
• Partner with the Engagement Manager (EM) or Technical Account Manager (TAM) to support the client engagement roadmap.
• Manage and maintain project information in the appropriate systems (ERP, PSA, and CRM).
• Two (2) days of onsite work per week are required at the Dallas, TX headquarters.
• Occasional travel to Liberty, North Carolina site.

Qualifications & Interests:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in leading technology projects.
• PMP or similar certification is preferred.
• Certification in additional frameworks is strongly preferred (Agile, Lean, ITSM, etc.)
• Substantial experience in agile frameworks, backlog planning, sprint planning, and work capacity planning.
• Demonstrated success managing client-facing complex, enterprise-level projects.
• Excellent oral & written communication, including presenting technical issues to a non-technical audience.
• Strong presentation skills and comfort communicating with senior levels of management.
• Strong conflict negotiation and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to manage risk.
• Experience with project management tools (Project, Smartsheet, Trello, Jira, etc.)
  • JIRA planning experience is a requirement
• Willingness to mentor or train others in project management.
