WalkMe Developer

We are looking for a developer with a strategic mindset and WalkMe experience to produce high-quality digital documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. This individual will partner with development teams, product management, design, and technical writers to make our products easier to use. In this role, you will ensure successful implementation of the WalkMe solution, including content creation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of WalkMe.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Develop high-quality digital documentation focused on driving customer success and enablement, as well as increase overall product adoption on multiple external-facing platforms.
2. Translate complex product information into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand user interface text, tooltips, in-app guided walkthroughs, and online help.
3. Gain a deep understanding of products supported; including learning about target audiences to ensure the best user experience is delivered.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to define the strategy and requirements for implementing WalkMe for our multi-platform products.
5. Build, test, deploy, and maintain digital documentation including working with stakeholders to ensure content is current, accurate, and relevant.
6. Maintain the WalkMe solution by tracking feature enhancements, deploying where appropriate, and communicating changes.
7. Complete validation, UAT, and regression testing for product releases.
8. Monitor and resolve reported bugs/issues.
9. Gather and apply customer feedback of documentation to improve usability.
10. Analyze usage metrics to help prioritize projects that are most valuable to the user.
11. Work in a fast-paced Agile environment with both onshore and offshore teams, various schedules, and frequent release cycles. Ensure documentation is delivered on schedule with a high degree of quality.
12. Collaborate with designers and technical writers to establish and maintain style guides and content standards.
13. Collaborate with technical writers to develop and document WalkMe processes and guidelines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Solid working knowledge of content development practices

Strong understanding of software design lifecycle and software design practices

A team player, and self-motivated quick learner, ready to explore new technologies and solutions

Self-starter, comfortable asking questions, as well as working independently or with a team

Excellent verbal and written skills in English

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Must be comfortable and willing to openly discuss work items with a cross-functional team, stakeholders, subject matter experts, design, and users

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to ensure accuracy, clarity, appropriateness, and consistency of documentation for internal and external customers

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other technology-related fields

A minimum of three years of recent experience with technical writing for WalkMe

Experience with TeachMe is a plus

Experience with jQuery

Experience with coding and scripting languages (ex: HTML, CSS, Javascript)

5+ years of technical writing experience within an enterprise-wide environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Normal office environment with use of computers and telephone systems; no unusual physical demands

Travel to customer locations as needed, including business air travel and car rental
