We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Supervisor with expertise in freight management. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring the efficient handling, and transportation of goods (outbound/inbound). In addition, the ideal candidate should possess functional knowledge of certified cargo screening (CCSF), foreign trade zone (FTZ), and customs and border patrol (bonded cargo) to ensure compliance with regulations and optimize international trade processes.

You will:
  • Ensure efficient and accurate out-bounding of cargo 
  • Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping of goods.
  • Ensure efficient and safe operation of all warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors.
  • Implement and enforce warehouse safety protocols to maintain a secure and hazard-free work environment.
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels, conducting regular audits and reconciliations to prevent discrepancies and ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Oversee the certified cargo screening process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and maintaining necessary certifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs and border patrol regulations, procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with freight carriers, customs brokers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to foreign trade zone regulations, including record-keeping, inventory control, and compliance reporting.
  • Train and develop warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to foster a high-performing and motivated team.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Generate and analyze warehouse performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
You should have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) as a warehouse supervisor or manager, preferably in a freight or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of certified cargo screening processes and requirements.
  • Familiarity with foreign trade zone regulations and operations.
  • In-depth understanding of customs and border patrol procedures, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of warehouse operations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
