Objective and Summary of Position
Responsible for general maintenance as directed. All aspects & functions involved in the Wash Machine Technician's role of producing quality parts.
Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible to insure that all safety and quality start-up procedures are followed.
2. Review and follow standardized work instructions.
3. Responsible to manage the cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.
4. Responsible to communicate with team members (Supervisor, Leader, Quality, Co-workers) on any issues with the machines. Have an understanding of what the cause of the issue is and which team member to inform. (Maintenance, Quality)
5. Responsible for cleaning/washing jobs throughout plant. Total preventive maintenance on wash machines/heat treat.
6. Responsible for cleaning of parts washers and recovery system.
7. Assist Maintenance Department when needed.
8. Train new employees as needed on operation of machines.
9. Attend and participate in team and employee meetings.
10. Responsible to report to another job or task as directed by the Supervisor/Leader if assigned job is down.
11. Participates in continuous improvement activities, submits improvement suggestions (CI, Safety).
12. Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to including TS16949, ISO14001 (EMS), and Employee Handbook.
13. Follows MIOSHA and MPTSH safety regulations and policies, including wearing required P.P.E. (Personal Protective Equipment). Reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor/Leader.

Additional Skills Required
Language Skills : Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English and correspondence such as safety rules and operating instructions. Ability to document forms as required by position.
Mathematical Skills : Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
Computer Skills : To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of AS400 and ability to use bar code labeling system.
Reasoning Skills : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education and/or Experience Required
High School diploma or G.E.D. Valid Driver's License. Experience in an automotive stamping manufacturing environment with mechanical knowledge. Results-oriented team player, excellent attendance, high energy level and good attention to detail. Must have complete working knowledge of wash machines. Must be able to troubleshoot chemicals and make adjustments. Must be able to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to the following: bearings, motors, gas burners, elements, thermocouples, conveyor systems, filters media, float switches. Must have complete working knowledge of hi-pressure power washer and steam cleaner. Must be able to work with little or no supervision, in a fast paced environment and work well under pressure. Ability to obtain a hi-lo permit and man lift permit. Must be able to work required hours.
