Job description

DMV Class B license required with current medical and a tanker endorsement. Must be able to pass periodic drug screening test. This position is for an EXPERIENCED truck driver. Seriously. We will only consider people that have real trucks in the construction industry. Dirt haulers, water truckers, heavy haulers, ready mix drivers - we're looking for you. If you have never driven a real truck, please do not apply. Really. This position involves off-road construction water truck operations. The hours are variable, but current drivers are working 35 to 50 hours a week or more right now. This is a seasonal position. It will likely run until it rains or until construction ceases for the year. Generally we work full time from mid- March until late October and often into November or later. Starting pay is $24.00 per hour plus a safety bonus. If you are really good, it will pay more. We will train you in how to operate a water truck - but you need to know how to handle a truck first. Although some of our fleet uses Allison automatics, you should have experience with a 10, a 13 or an 18 speed. Qualified drivers will be invited to work on our Fire Support Team. From time to time we are hired to work wildland fires. If this is something that you are interested in, it involves a pay raise once you qualify. Please provide a resume with references that will actually answer the phone. Have a current DMV printout with NO serious accidents and NO DUI's. Again - you MUST have driven a truck before. No Exceptions. PS: Uber and Lyft are not real trucks. Drivers must live within 40 miles of Campbell, CA Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Pay may depend on skills and/or qualifications Application Question(s): • Please describe in 1-2 sentences.
