Wealth Management Business Analyst
The WM Investment Advisor Experience team collaborates with partners across the WM Investment Practice including Goals Driven, Onboarding and Training, Operations, Technology, CAO, Investment Product, Portfolio Research and all Front Office Investment partners.
The team oversees the end to end investment partner experience through the assessment of current state processes/capabilities and identifies best practices across regions and offices to help with a more consistent experience for all partners. They play a key role in supporting overall partner experience strategy by: Executing on partner focused strategic initiatives and enhancing communication, Participating and or leading special projects, coordinating training and change management with Practice and Regional Leadership, Gathering partner feedback and pain points and acting as an advocate for front office partners across Investment Practice efforts.
Description:
The WM Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting senior management across the Investment Practice/Advisor Experience Team in various business and/or strategy projects and market development activities.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Assists senior management in creating strategic plans
- Analyzes opportunities by helping identify, research, and cultivate prospective solutions within all aspects of the Investment Practice
- Analyzes industry trends, business performance, internal investment opportunities
- Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of business unit / function
- Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult
- Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities
- Conducts preliminary analysis across Advisor Experience bodies of work
- Ensure that team deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time
- Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management
- Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional areas
- Develops content and presentations in collaboration with Advisor Experience team
Qualifications:
- A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience in financial analysis and project management is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
- Technical skills / systems knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Forms, Power Point, SharePoint and Power BI) is required
- Strong process and project management skills is required
- Familiarity with Northern Trust, a financial service firm or wealth management firm would be an asset
- In-depth financial analysis and modeling is preferred
- Organizational skills necessary to create task lists, prioritize work efforts and multi-task
