Warehouse Associate III

Core member of the distribution and warehouse teams essential to the day-to-day functions of the department to ensure goals are met, if not exceeded.  Responsible for supporting many facets of operations to include receiving, returns, Inventory control, shipping, picking/pulling, unpacks, and storage of merchandise or materials. Fills requisitions and orders, while tracking inventory. Packs, crates, and ships products and materials intra-company and to external customers. May operate forklift and drive a truck and/or vehicle for the purposes of business. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Control

• Responsible for storage and maintenance of inventory documentation at warehouses and manufacturing facilities.
• Enter transactions in ERP systems recording movement of materials within the company.
• Perform periodic physical inventories and maintain cycle count program.
• Coordinate with leadership regarding workflow issues, backlogs, and shortages.
• Work with internal/external customers to provide exemplary customer service.

Returns

• Identify issues requiring customer follow-up.
• Work with customer service and production departments to ensure seamless customer experience with repairs and product returns.
• Negotiate with customer and collaborate with management team to ensure satisfactory result for the customer and Company; process associated transactions.

Receiving

• Responsible for the physical handling of product transactions within the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and other required documentation activities.
• Responsible for the receipt, transaction and proper routing of customer product returns.
• Provide assistance with transaction history investigations pertaining to receiving discrepancies.

Shipping

• Ship materials and products to external suppliers and customers.
• Responsible for product handling, packaging and safe movement of product.
• Complete order fulfillment and entry of inventory transactions into the company’s ERP system.
• Manage logistics, suppliers and develop proficiency with on-site shipping software systems.
• Assist with transaction history investigations pertaining to discrepancies.
• Provide accurate shipment documentation and any other transportation related documentation.

Equipment

• Operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other equipment in a professional and safe manner.
• Drive company vehicle(s) to deliver product to company locations when needed.
• Assist with maintenance and cleanliness of vehicles; refuel as needed.
• Responsible for minor maintenance work at company locations.
• Assist in keeping warehouses clean and organized on a daily basis.
• Observe and abide by all policy and safety regulations.

Company Support

• Perform additional responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications 

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Two (2) or more years hands on experience in a warehouse environment.
• Basic math skills required.
• Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite is required, strong familiarity with Word & Excel.
• Team player with the willingness to wear multiple hats, perform a wide range of tasks and support overall goals established for the area of responsibility.
• Experience with software based inventory management systems, Clippership software a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record, if required to drive a company vehicle.
• Must be available to work overtime on weekdays and weekends as workload dictates.
• Forklift operation certification, preferred.

• Read, See, talk, and hear
• Ability to move or lift up to 15 pounds regularly and 50 pounds for short durations
• Carry products throughout facility
• Vision abilities required include close and far away vision, along with the ability to accurately see differences in color
• Exposure to lower temperatures in a warehouse environment
• Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate
