Web Administrator
Job Description
Viderity is an award-winning consulting firm that provides IT and outreach services to federal agencies and commercial organizations. You'll be working with a friendly and whip-smart team supporting a well-known organization responsible for exciting discoveries ranging from the first internet browser to black holes to the first semiconductor!
As a Web Administrator at Viderity, you will manage web environment design, deployment, development, and maintenance activities. You will also be responsible for performing testing and quality assurance of websites and web applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Manage web environment design, deployment, development, and maintenance activities.
- Perform testing and quality assurance of websites and web applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues with the web environment and related infrastructure to reduce downtime and improve end user experience.
- Develop and execute backup procedures to safeguard website data. Ensure that disaster recovery and failover strategies are in place and effective.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders, including developers, designers, and content teams, to ensure that the website aligns with both technical specifications and business strategies.
- Create reports on web performance metrics and the status of various projects. Maintain thorough documentation for all web administration processes and configurations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 4-6 years of current experience in web administration or a related area.
- Experience with website management tools and hosting environments.
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex web server and network issues efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience in managing projects, including timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to technological and digital changes.
- Meticulous attention to detail, especially in testing, security, and maintaining uptime.
Salary Range: $119,000 - $126,000
